Meg Ryan had fans buzzing over her changing face as she reunited with her When Harry Met Sally leading man Billy Crystal to present the award for best picture during the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday.

The 63-year-old rom-com queen smiled as the 76-year-old legendary comedian took over, humble-bragging about having hosted the Oscars nine times and doing a riff on one of his old Harry lines after she said: ‘Let’s cut to the chase.’

‘Because when you have a chance to be an Oscar winner for the rest of your life, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible,’ Crystal quipped.

Meg and Billy then proceeded to present the night’s biggest honor to Anora producers Sean Baker, Alex Coco, and Samantha Quan.

But on X, many thought Ryan (born Margaret Hyra) was unrecognizable, with user @Swaggens3Bilbo

The Connecticut-born blonde and Moore have never acted together onscreen, but they shared a touching embrace inside Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre during a commercial break.

Eagle-eyed viewers also noticed that Meg had a slight limp as she strutted onstage in a strapless red-velvet gown and platform heels, which was a result of an arthritis-induced hip issue she wrote into the plot of her 2023 directorial effort What Happens Later.

Sunday reportedly marked the first time Ryan had attended the Academy Awards ceremony since 1998.

Hellmann’s shelled out at least $14M – not including Meg and Billy’s salaries – to pay for the 60-second commercial, according to Variety.

It’s been 36 years since the pair originated the roles of Sally Albright and Harry Burns in Rob Reiner’s beloved rom-com penned by Nora Ephron, which earned rave reviews and $92.8M at the global box office.
