Coronation Street legend Jack P Shepherd is reportedly going to appear in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The actor, 37, who has played David Platt in the ITV show since 2000, is said to be following in his pal Colson Smith’s footsteps and is due to take part in the popular reality show this year.
The second series of the rebooted version of CBB will be back on our screens in Spring.
A TV insider told The Sun: ‘The two lads are great mates, and Colson no doubt told Jack he’d have the time of his life on the show.
‘Jack will be making the most of a gap in appearing on Corrie, which comes as he’s about to be at the centre of a huge storyline on the ITV soap.
‘His character David will be seen getting left for ᴅᴇᴀᴅ after being hit by a car on the cobbles – but it will transpire it’s actually a bizarre attempt to end his own life.’

MailOnline has contacted Jack’s rep for comment.
Jack and Colson are great friends and have worked together on the soap for a number of years.
They are also hosts of their very own podcast On The Sofa With Colson, Jack and Ben.
Colson, who has played PC Craig Tinker on Coronation Street since 2011, placed third on Celebrity Big Brother in 2024.
The series was won by David Potts, 31, and Nikita Kuzmin, 27, was crowned runner-up.
They were joined by the likes of Louis Walsh, 72, Fern Britton, 67, Zeze Mills, 35, Marisha Wallace, 37, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 30.
There have been a number of popular famous faces who could be joining Jack in the iconic house this year.
Love Islander Chris Hughes, Annie Kilner, boxer Tommy Fury and MAFS star Ella Morgan have been rumoured as part of the 2025 line-up.
Although the celebrities haven’t been confirmed, one this that is for definite is that Aj Odudu and Will Best will be back to present the show.

The pair will also host Big Brother Late & Live.
And fans will be happy to know that the live stream will also be on our screens too.
Big Brother aired on Channel 4 between 2000 and 2010.
In 2011, Channel 5 took over until 2018.
But now the show airs on ITV2.
Jack is best known for playing David on Coronation Street.
He has played the hairdresser for the past 25 years.
Jack has won a handful of awards for his talent over the years.
Some include Best Young Actor at Inside Soap Awards, Best Bad Boy at Inside Soap Awards and Best Soap Actor at the TV Choice Awards.
The actor has gone on to appear in various other TV shows over the years.
Some appearances include This Morning, Celebrity Juice, Tipping Point and The Chase.
Jack’s alter-ego David is due to be involved in a lot of drama on Coronation Street.
ITV recently shared a trailer involving David and Rob Donovan in a horrifying car crash.
Celebrity Big Brother will air on ITV.
