A new gripping detective drama will air on Channel 4 this week, and it’s set to rival the BBC’s Death In Paradise.
Get Millie Black is a police series starring Tamara Lawrance as ex-Scotland Yard detective Millie Black.
The show originally aired in America on streaming platform HBO but will hit UK screens on Channel 4 on March 5 at 9pm.
Like Death In Paradise, Get Millie Black follows an officer who moves abroad to tackle criminal cases.
The new series sees Detective Millie in Jamaica as she works on a missing persons situation.
Other cast members include Skins actor Joe Dempsie as Luke Holborn, Joan star Gershwyn Eustache Jnr as Curtis and Chyna Mcqueen as Hibiscus.

The five-episode series was written by award-winning author Marlon James’ and has an impressive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Actress Tamara described her character as ‘irreverent, belligerent, hawk-eyed and driven by her heart for justice’.

The show was filmed in Jamaica and Tamara added: ‘The landscape of Kingston was integral to the authenticity of this piece and platformed aspects of Jamaica we’ve not seen before.’
Marlon commented: ‘When people think of a Caribbean crime, they might think of Death In Paradise.
‘But it’s more than that. It’s complicated, it’s dark, it’s Sєxy, it’s mysterious. You get the entire cross section of Jamaican society, but it is set in Kingston.
‘It is a city noir. It is what LA is to Chinatown.’
The writer added that he wanted viewers to see ‘there is more to Jamaica than tourist boats and Mai Tais on the beach’.
It comes after it was confirmed another police drama, Unforgotten, has been recommissioned for a seventh season by ITV.

The sixth series was a great streaming success, with the first episode attracting 7.4million viewers after 14 days.
It stars Sinéad Keenan as DCI Jessica ‘Jessie’ James and Sanjeev Bhaskar DI Sunil ‘Sunny’ Khan.
Get Millie Black airs on Channel 4 on Wednesday, March 5 at 9pm
