Fans were amazed to see Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg looking trimmer than ever at the Oscars on Sunday.
The media mogul, 71, and the Ghost star, 69, who have both admitted to using weight loss drugs to help them shed pounds, reunited onstage 40 years after starring together in The Color Purple.
The pair honored the late Quincy Jones, who died in November at age 91. Jones produced The Color Purple and wrote the score for the film.
The movie, based on the Alice Walker novel, was nominated for 11 Academy Awards at the 1986 ceremony.
Oprah was a vision in a black blazer with a shimmering black maxi skirt and tie. Meanwhile Whoopi stunned in a metallic blue gown.
Following their appearance one fan took to social media and called the duo ‘a walking billboard for Ozempic.’

‘Whoopie sharing Oprah’s ozempic stash?’ another fan humorously asked.
‘The ozempic did wonders for Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah,’ someone else added.

‘Whoopi and Oprah serving Ozempic Opulence,’ yet another person wrote.
‘Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah on that ozempic.’
‘Didn’t expect the glam Whoopi brought! And the Ozempic her buddy Oprah gave her.’
Whoopi previously revealed she used weight loss medication Mounjaro after hitting 300 Lbs.
Meanwhile Oprah recently revealed that taking weight-loss drugs, like Ozempic and Wegovy, helped her realize the truth about ‘thin people.’
In 2023, Oprah finally admitted to using an undisclosed GLP-1 — a type 2 diabetes medication that can also aid in weight loss — to shed nearly 50 pounds after decades of yo-yo dieting.
The admission came as a shock to fans as Oprah had previously denied using meds to slim down and even went as far as to slam the method as an ‘easy way out.’

But having nearly reached her goal weight of 160 pounds, Winfrey recently shared about her experience taking a GLP-1 and what it has taught her about ‘thin people.’
‘One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people had more willpower,’ Winfrey confessed on her podcast. ‘They ate better foods. They were able to stick to it longer. They never had a potato chip.’
But once she started on a GLP-1, Winfrey realized that what she initially perceived as ‘willpower’ was actually an absence of intrusive hunger thoughts — often referred to as ‘food noise.’
Ozempic, Wegovy and other GLP-1 medications can help eradicate food noise — which often leads to overeating and weight gain — by reducing cravings and slowing down digestion.
‘And then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, they’re not even thinking about it,’ the billionaire said.
‘They’re eating when they’re hungry and they’re stopping when they’re full.’
Winfrey explained that that way of eating ‘doesn’t work’ if you struggle with obesity, which is a disease.
Meanwhile, earlier this year in January, Whoopi unveiled her makeover during Paris Fashion Week after taking weight loss drugs to aid in losing 300 pounds.
Last year in March while on The View, she admitted to taking the weight loss drug Mounjaro to help her lose weight.
She also commented on the stigma of using weight loss drugs and stated that the ‘key is to stop judging everybody.
‘My weight has come and gone, and up and down, but it’s never been an issue for me because I don’t listen to what other people say about me so it has never been a problem.’
Whoopi added, ‘But I think it’s very hard for people to just know what a normal weight would be…Everyone has something to say but no one said, “How you doing?” Because it involves so many other things.’
While onstage, the two delivered a touching message in honor of Jones
They cut a glamorous duo

The star further expressed, ‘I always felt like me, and then I saw me and thought, “Oh, that’s a lot of me.” You have to take responsibility for yourself and see what’s going on with your body.’
At one point, Goldberg also referenced to her 2022 film Till and revealed, ‘I will tell you, you know, I weighed almost 300 pounds when I made Till.’
And while on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024, the actress added that while filming the historical drama, ‘a woman thought I was wearing a fat suit.’
While onstage on Sunday, the two delivered a touching message in honor of Jones.
‘When one hears the name Quincy Jones, one’s first thought is musical genius, and for good reason,’ Oprah shared.
’28 Grammy Awards, arranger and conductor for legends like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles, and the driving force behind “We Are The World,” but the man, our beloved Q, had an equally powerful impact on the world of film, as a composer and producer.’
‘When we talk about Black excellence, we’re talking about Quincy,’ Goldberg added. ‘In 1967, Quincy Jones was the first Black composer nominated in the Original Song category for “The Eyes of Love” in the film Banning. 1967 was the first time, just keep that in mind.’
‘And Quincy was also nominated that year for original music score for In Cold Blood. He received seven Oscar nominations for The Wiz, In Cold Blood, For Love Of Ivy and The Color Purple, which me and Oprah were part of.’
‘Paying tribute to him for all he has meant to our movie community is why we all honor Q’s memory tonight,’ Oprah said.
Whoopi turned heads as she made a rare fashion move by donning an eye-catching gown while attending the 97th Annual Academy Awards
She stunned in a strapless, dark navy gown that was made of a material that shone under the bright lights on the red carpet

‘Quincy was love lived out loud in human form, and he poured that love into others and into his work. My life changed forever and for the better after meeting him.’
She also added that Jones ‘discovered me for The Color Purple, which was my first film.’
‘Me too. So tonight, we honor the true American legend whose music and movies continue to inspire us all,’ Goldberg added, before introducing a performance by Queen Latifah.
Goldberg, who played Celie Harris, received a Best Actress nod for The Color Purple in 1986, while Oprah — who starred as Sofia — was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
Jones received nominations for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for ‘Miss Celie’s Blues (Sister)’.
The Color Purple explores the life of Celie, a young African-American woman living in the early 20th-century American South.
