Female artists Charli XCX and Dua Lipa will go head to head in the battle for best British artist at tonight’s BRIT Awards.
Singer Charli XCX leads the field with five nominations including the top prize, while Dua Lipa has been shortlisted for four honours.
The star-studded ceremony hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall takes place at London’s O2 Arena with live performances from Ezra Collective and Jorja Smith.

Jack Whitehall is facing backlash after making a shocking joke about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs while hosting the BRIT Awards on Saturday evening.

Danny Dyer left Jack Whitehall speechless as he dropped a banned expletive live on air and slammed Keir Starmer.
Though most of the programme aired after the 9pm watershed, swearing is still bleeped out on live TV with artists including Sabrina Carpenter and Lola Young singing clean versions of their tracks.
However, EastEnders icon Danny, 47, didn’t quite keep to the same rules as ITV were forced to censor when he dropped a banned expletive during the live broadcast.
Viewers watching the show from home were faced with multiple muted moments while he spoke to host Jack Whitehall, though his comments have been revealed.
The actor uttered the highly-offensive swear word ‘c***’ before launching a furious rant aimed at Prime Minister Starmer, 62, calling him a ‘b*****d’ and a ‘s**g’.
Giving his unfiltered thoughts on politics, he said the world was ‘being run by ‘b*****ds’ before saying Starmer wins ‘b*****d of the year’.

Who is presenting the ceremony?
The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony is hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time at the helm of the event, after having previously presented the show in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
After hosting the livestream revealing this year’s nominees, radio and TV presenter Sian Welby will be joined Capital Xtra broadcaster and cultural commentator Zeze Millz for Live From The Red Carpet.
The livestream will be the first place to see all the action from the star-studded red carpet, as nominees, performers, presenters and more arrive for the big night and will broadcast from 5.30pm on the BRITs’ official Instagram and Facebook.
