Benny Blanco’s friends are encouraging him to have a full ‘head-to-toe makeover’ in preparation of his wedding to Selena Gomez – and have even suggested that he turn to Ozempic to shed the pounds.

The 36-year-old record producer proposed to actress and former child star Selena, 32, in December.

While their wedding preparations remain largely under wraps, insiders close to Benny have revealed that his pals are talking him into slimming down and undergoing some minor tweaks – including trimming his signature hair.

It comes after Benny has faced backlash over his looks in the past.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, the source said: ‘Benny’s friends have been pushing him to undergo a major glow-up and step it up for the wedding.

‘He knows what people are saying about their recent magazine spread. So do his friends who are insisting it is time for a full head-to-toe makeover.

It comes after Benny faced backlash over his looks in the past

‘His friends are insistent that he make a change, especially when it comes to his hair, and have suggested a few weeks of Ozempic – the new celebrity favorite – teeth whitening, and a fashion shake-up for the wedding week.’

They added: ‘Benny is stressed but feels compelled to do this to look his best.’

After going public with the relationship in December 2023, Selena was forced to fiercely defend Benny after fans cruelly said he was unworthy of her.

‘I don’t understand,’ she wrote in a statement on her Instagram Story at the time.

‘If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don’t feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done.

‘If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all. He has treated me better than any human being on this planet. He is my absolute everything in my heart.’

In the couple’s candid interview with Interview Magazine, Benny admitted that he often worries that Selena is going to change her mind and leave him. 

Benny said: ‘I’m so scared she’s just going to wake up and be like, “What? No”‘.

The Only Murders In The Building actress reᴀssured him and said: ‘You’re stuck with me’, before describing him as ‘very romantic.’ 

Selena has been dating Benny since June 2023, though she did not confirm the relationship until that December.

Benny seemingly popped the question during a romantic nighttime picnic featuring Taco Bell.

Previously, the Wolves songstress dated The Weeknd, Zedd, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner and was linked to a number of other stars, including Zayn Malik and The Chainsmokers’ Andrew Taggart.

She also famously had an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber that spanned eight years, before they called it quits in 2018.

Justin is now married to model Hailey Bieber, 28, and they welcomed a baby son in August.

Before getting romantic, Selena and Benny were friends for over a decade and even worked on music together.

Last week, Selena faced speculation that she might be using Ozempic or a weight loss aid after she made an appearance at the SAG Awards.
