The cast of a 2000 cult classic reunited after more than two decades, earlier this month.
Tyra Banks, Piper Perabo, Maria Bello, Izabella Miko Bridget Moynahan and Melanie Lynskey, came together to celebrate Coyote Ugly’s 25th anniversary for a screening and Q&A on Wednesday at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.
Despite a relatively low budget and mediocre reviews, the film was considered a hit as it grossed $113 million worldwide.
The film followed Violet Sanford (Perabo), who leaves her hometown of South Amboy to pursue her dreams of becoming a songwriter.
The romantic comedy/drama, based on the actual Coyote Ugly Saloon, set in New York City, was directed by David McNally and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
For the occasion, Banks looked incredible in a figure hugging black and blue illusion dress which boasted gloved long sleeves and shoulder pads.

‘It feels like it was months, but I don’t know if it was months, but it was a long time,’ she recalled. ‘There was just not only the choreography, but also just dealing with fire and water elements. That was great.’
Miko went on to say that she was ‘so grateful’ not to be among those that had to dance on the bar, which she called ‘a nightmare.’
Prior to the reunion, Bello teased that she hadn’t ‘seen some of those girls in 25 years’ and was excited to see what would happen.
Back in 2018, she teased that she was eager to reprise her role in the no-nonsense bartender in Coyote Ugly.
‘I’m dying to do Coyote Ugly 2,’ the actress told People. ‘I want to produce it — I just need to get the rights from Mr. Jerry Bruckheimer or work with him.’
