Noel Fielding shows off scruffy new look as he appears in music video after returning to the spotlight – since quitting Apple TV+ series due to unknown ‘health reason’

Noel Fielding debuted a new look as he sported beard to return to the spotlight for a new music video.

The TV star, 51, showcased his new look in Luke Spiller’s The Ending Is Always The Same clip – which saw him sit completely still on a chair for over four minutes.

His unusual appearance comes as a surprise since he pulled out of his Apple TV+ series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin due to an unknown ‘health reason’.

Noel ditched his clean-shaven look for a striking beard and wore a trendy faux-fur jacket and skinny jeans.

The Bake Off star, who has rarely been seen amid his career hiatus, made a rare appearance at a Kasabian gig in London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Tuesday.

Noel looked in fine spirits as he gatecrashed the stage amid the joint BRITs Week 25 gig with indie rock band Blossoms in aid of War Child.

In a clip shared to X, the Great British Bake Off star could be seen greeting Kasabian lead singer Serge Pizzorno before taking the mic.

Noel then gave a shout out to the cheering crowd gathered at the venue, before remarking: ‘It’s all kicking off backstage. Me and Prue just did Jägerbombs, Prue Leith.’

The excited TV personality, dressed in a colourful jumper and is signature skinтιԍнт jeans, then planted a kiss on Sege’s head before returning the mic and walking off.

Earlier this month, Noel was spotted in public for the first time since leaving his TV show.

The star had spent weeks at his holiday home in the South of France but was recently spotted back in North London, where he looks in good spirits with wife Liliana Bird and a close friend.

It is the sighting of the comedian back in the UK after his publicists announced he would not be returning to film after the Christmas break due to an unknown ‘health reason’.

Over the Christmas break, Noel is believed to have flown out to his rural villa, near Nice, to spend the festive period with his partner and their two young daughters

Yet after New Years he did not fly back to his home in London, with his co-stars and producers being left in the lurch.

Upon returning to film in January cast and crew members were told the production was being axed due to ‘the illness of a key cast member’.

And although sources have claimed the production had ‘no choice but to stop’ and many were said to be ‘concerned about Noel’s wellbeing’, some staff ‘are furious’.

The upset has meant that now more than 100 people who were working on the show are reportedly considering a class action lawsuit against the makers of the Apple TV+ comedy.

A TV insider told The Sun at the time: ‘Axing a show halfway through production is virtually unheard of – plus there’s a mystery over just what has happened. It’s left bosses of other shows he is on feeling extremely nervous.’

Hiding away from the furore, Noel stayed in his home in a small commune close to the Côte d’Azur.

It comes as it was reported last month that The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin is set for a return to screens, despite being axed midway through production due to the star’s mystery health fears.

After a successful first series, which he co-wrote and starred in, filming for a second series took place at the end of last year.

But when filming was set to resume after the Christmas holidays, cast and crew were told it had been axed three-quarters of the way into the shoot.

Now, it’s been reported that Apple TV+ bosses are considering an hour-long special to salvage footage that’s already been filmed, with a possible air date of Halloween.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s now considered to be something of a salvage operation, although its not clear whether they have enough to do anything with.

‘But the creators sank millions into making the show and it was around 70 to 80 per cent filmed by the time the axe fell.

‘So it would now be galling to see what they have go entirely to waste. It’s not clear whether any of the sections they’d filmed included the guest stars, who are said to have included Jason Isaacs, Dawn French and Miranda Richardson.’

MailOnline contacted representatives for Noel Fielding and Apple TV+ for comment at the time.
