Jonathan Majors packed on the PDA with fiancee Meagan Good as they attended the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The former Marvel star, 35, and the Stomp The Year actress, 43, joined the likes of Cynthia Erivo, Tyra Banks and Zoe Kravitz on the star-studded red carpet.

Majors — who was found guilty of ᴀssaulting and harᴀssing a former girlfriend in 2023 — planted a kiss on his wife-to-be as they posed for shutterbugs ahead of the ceremony.

Majors looked chic in a shimmery green blazer styled with a white turtleneck top, flared slacks and a black beret.

The Creed III star further accessorized with a pair of designer sunglᴀsses.

Flashing a huge smile for the cameras, Majors wrapped an arm around Good’s tiny waist during their pH๏τo op.

The LA native’s frock also featured a plunging neckline that showed off her cleavage while its strapless design highlighted her enviably toned arms.

Good’s curly tresses were styled in a voluminous, high bun and she added sparkle to the monochrome look with a diamond choker necklace.

As for makeup, the Harlem star rocked smokey brown eyeshadow and a bright peach-toned lip.

The annual soiree, held at the Fairmont Century Plaza and hosted by Aldis Hodge, ‘honors pioneering and immensely talented Black women in Hollywood,’ as per Essence.

Honorees are recognized for their work ‘in front of the camera and behind the scenes.’ 

Thursday’s event marks the 18th anniversary of the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards, which were launched in 2007.  

‘This 2025 flagship event will celebrate its 18th year as ESSENCE honors actresses and talent who are making their undeniable mark in film and television & forging forward their own definition of what it means to be a Black Woman in Hollywood,’ the outlet said in a statement.

Cynthia Erivo, Teyana Taylor, Marla Gibbs and Raamla Mohamed are this year’s honorees.

The theme for the 2025 ceremony is ‘Scene and Unseen’ as the event is aimed at ‘spotlighting the stories, performances, and contributions that often go overlooked, even as they shape the fabric of the entertainment industry,’ as shared by Essence last month.

The couple’s appearance at the awards ceremony in LA comes three months after their surprise engagement.

Majors popped the question during their red carpet appearance at the 2024 Ebony Power 100 event at Nya Studios in November 2024.

Good proudly showed off her engagement ring for shutterbugs at the event, where Majors gave a shout-out to his wife-to-be in an emotional acceptance speech.

The star, who was recognized for his ‘perseverance,’ said that he loved Good ‘beyond all limit’ after speaking to the crowd about his experience as ‘a Black man in the criminal justice system.’

Good began dating Majors in May 2023 — just two months after he faced legal issues following an arrest for ᴀssaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, 31.

The former Marvel actor was found guilty of misdemeanor ᴀssault and harᴀssment in December 2023 but shockingly avoided jail-time.

Instead, Majors was sentenced to attend a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. 

In November, Majors and his ex Jabbari settled a civil lawsuit she filed against him, as both agreed to dismiss the litigation.

Prior to the 2023 ᴀssault, Majors’ career had been on an upswing.

He had secured a role as the тιтle villain in Marvel’s Kang Dynasty, but the studio dropped him after his conviction and canceled plans for the film — a decision that left the actor ‘heartbroken.’

Despite his controversies, Majors has made his way back into the spotlight in recent months.

He has attended several major red carpet events and his latest film Magazine Dreams was recently ᴀssigned a theatrical release date.

The bodybuilding drama, which stars Majors, is slated for March 21, 2025 after being previously dropped in response to Majors’ ᴀssault conviction.

The film’s distributor Briarcliff Entertainment confirmed the upcoming release to ᴅᴇᴀᴅline in December.

Briarcliff Entertainment in October picked up distribution rights to the film, its chief executive Tom Ortenberg said, confirming in an email it was planning a ‘robust’ theatrical release in the first quarter of 2025. 

Magazine Dreams, which was written and directed by Elijah Bynum, sees Majors plays Killian Maddox, a lonely, aspiring bodybuilder prone to eruptions of rage, carrying wounds from a life filled with pain. 

He co-stars in the film include Harrison Page, Harriet Sansom Harris, Taylour Paige, Haley Bennett and Michael O’Hearn.

Magazine Dreams had been a critical hit at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2023. It was originally set to be released by Searchlight Pictures in late 2023.
