Coronation Street actress Julia Goulding is ‘devastated’ over two characters’ upcoming departures from the show.
The ITV soap star plays Shona Platt and first appeared on the drama back in 2016.
Julia has seen many co-stars leave during her time on the soap, but the exits of Max Turner, played by Paddy Bever, and Rovers Return barmaid Daisy Midgeley, portrayed by Charlotte Jordan, are hitting her hard.
The 39-year-old expressed how she was ‘devastated’ over her on-screen stepson’s exit from the cobbles.
She said: ‘I love Paddy so much and I could actually be his mother, it’s ridiculous.
‘He’s got a very bright future ahead of him and I would love to see him come back at some point, but I don’t know where his life is going to take him. Really sad to lose him.’

Paddy first joined Coronation Street in 2021 when he took over the role from Harry McDermott who had starred in the ITV soap for 11 years.
However, last month it was revealed that 22-year-old Paddy would be leaving the show.
He previously said: ‘After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max, and Coronation Street, to explore new opportunities.
‘I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way.’
Julia added: ‘And Charlie, don’t even get me started. I’m furious with her for leaving. I’m losing all of my mates.’
Charlotte, 29, made her debut in the soap back in 2020 and has been part of a number of hard-hitting storylines, including being stalked and facing a horrific acid attack on her wedding day, for which she won a British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance in 2023.
In a previous statement, she said: ‘My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”
‘It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful insтιтution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.’

While a source told The Sun: ‘Charlotte has loved her time on the cobbles but is young, ambitious and hungry to see what else is out there for her.
‘She told bosses last April that her next contract would be her last, giving them a year to craft an exciting exit storyline.
‘She’s still filming now and her final scenes will play out in early summer. She’s adored by cast and crew and will be hugely missed.’
Other major characters making recent departures from the cobbles include Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney).
