BBC comedy Mammoth will return to our screens with a brand new series and a Christmas special.
The sitcom, written and created by Mike Bubbins, 52, hit our screens in April 2024 on BBC Two.
The three-part series follows the story of a man called Tony Mammoth (Mike Bubbins), who ends up getting trapped under avalanche an avalanche back in 1979.
45 years later he ‘takes on the modern world’ and carries on his PE teacher duties in 2024.
Fans will be happy to know that as well as another season, there will also be a festive instalment too, according to TV Zone.
Confirming the second series, star and creator Mike said: ‘It’s been amazing to see how audiences have got behind this show.

Commissioning Editor for Comedy, BBC Wales, Paul Forde said: ‘We’re thrilled that another series of Mammoth is coming to our screens.
‘The audience have been asking if there will be another series and we’re hugely excited to be able to say “yes there will!”‘
Filming is due to take place later this year in Cardiff.

The likes of Joseph Marcell, Mali Ann Rees, Joel Davison, Dyan Dwyfor, William Thomas and H.G Wahley also starred in the comedy.
Mammoth has received rave reviews.
One wrote on the show’s trailer: ‘Superb more of please loved it.’
Another added: ‘Love it.’
‘It worked, I enjoyed it,’ a third chimed in.
Meanwhile a fourth wrote on IMBD: ‘This is a cracking comedy.’
Another said on the site: ‘I don’t think many could capture the essence of the 1970’s through the lens of a macho Sєxist PE teacher better than Mike Bubbins managed to achieve in this mini series.
‘There were many genuine laugh out loud moments and some wonderful hillarious situations created by the writers.’
A sixth chimed in: ‘Very funny and well done. His character is brilliantly done – very funny and retro and lovingly out of touch and relatable (and cheesy).’

As well as writing TV shows, Mike has also done a number of stand-up shows.
He’s also taken part in podcasts and radio.
