Mutya Buena is reportedly set to releae a tell-all autobiography detailing her secret heartbreaks and behind the scenes drama with the Sugababes.

The book is said to be called ‘Real Girl’ named after her 2007 solo album and her single of the same name which reached number 2 in the charts.

According to The Sun, Mutya, 39, will address her departure from the Sugababes in 2005 which saw her replaced by Amelle Berrabah.

However, she will also reportedly write about her health struggles and incidents in her personal life which have so far been unknown to her fans.

A source said: ‘Mutya has been in the spotlight practically her whole life and it’s not been an easy ride.

‘Lots has been written and said about her in the past but she is turning 40 this year and she felt like it was the perfect time to reflect on her life and set the record straight.

‘It has been an emotional process because she has delved into a lot of trauma, which she has only ever spoken about to those who are closest to her before.’

Mutya was part of the original line-up of the Sugababes with Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy.

Siobhan left the group in 2001 and was replaced with Heidi range with Mutya leaving four years later.

Keisha – the last original member – then left the group in 2009 and was replaced by former Eurovision entrant Jade Ewan. The group split two years later.

The original members reunited in 2019 and have since sold out The O2, shut down Glastonbury stages twice due to demand and performed to record breaking crowds at European gigs.

The OG members reflected on the group’s formation over the years, stating that they will always be the best and ‘the essence’ of the group.

‘You three are the OG Sugababes but out of all the versions, which one do you think was the best?’ asked Will.

Mutya quipped: ‘The first one!’

She will also reportedly write about her health struggles and incidents in her personal life which have so far been unknown to her fans (pictured with the Sugababes in 2004)

‘I think the thing is, we started it when we were young teenagers,’ Siobhan said, while Mutya added: ‘It’s our baby.’

Siobhan continued: ‘And I think there will always be something about the Sugababes that is this for us, it is where it started, and it is the essence of what it is.’

‘It makes sense,’ Will replied.

It comes after the girl band announced that they are set to hit the road for their ‘biggest ever UK and European tour’ in spring 2025, with shows lined up in cities such as London, Birmingham, and Cardiff.

Announcing the tour in a joint statement, the Push The ʙuттon singers said: ‘We are so excited to announce our biggest ever UK and European tour.

The last few years have been an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to hit the road together next spring! Wait until you see what we’ve got up our sleeve. Tickets on sale Friday 25th October 10AM UK/11AM CET.’
