Scarlett Johansson’s third husband Colin Jost once valiantly proved his love for her by going dumpster diving.
The 42-year-old SNL co-head writer told the trashy tale to contestants while hosting episode eight of Pop Culture Jeopardy! on December 18.
‘My wife actually lost her engagement ring and accidentally threw it in the trash,’ Colin recalled of the incident that happened five years earlier.
‘And I looked through 12 dumpsters of trash. And then I went back to the house and she said, “Oops! It was in my pocket.”‘
ᴅᴇᴀᴅpan, Jost added: ‘It was a great day for me.’
The 15-time Emmy nominee originally began dating the 40-year-old former child star in May 2017 after she hosted the NBC sketch show for the fifth time, and she divorced her second ex-husband Romain Dauriac by September 2017.
