Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan, has been ordered to stay away from his estranged wife Kate Major. 

A protective order issued in Harris County, Texas prevents Lohan, 64, from touching Major or communicating with her in a threatening or harᴀssing matter, per TMZ.

It also requires him to stay 200 feet away from her place, even if he isn’t carrying a firearm. 

The radio talk show host was arrested Saturday, after Major, 42, a former entertainment journalist at Star magazine, called police to say he had shown up at the medical building where she was getting a test the day before.

When officers investigated, she told them Lohan had ‘flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier,’ and she was ‘concerned he was following her.’

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office told DailyMail.com that a female deputy confirmed she had seen a bruise on Major’s body.

Lohan was charged with a felony charge of ‘continuous violence against the family.’ 

The radio host is fighting back through his attorney who has denied the allegations and pointed to Major’s criminal record, which included three DUI convictions.

Lohan’s attorney Andrew Raynal told the outlet the timing of Major’s complaint was ‘suspicious.’

‘When it became clear Kate was not going give up drinking, Michael asked her to move out of the guest house where she had been living — and these [police] accusations followed claiming it came shortly after Lohan had asked her to move out of the guest house where she has been staying,’ the lawyer said. 

The couple, who got engaged in 2010, married in 2014, and filed for divorce in 2018, have two small children, Landon, 12 and Logan, 10.

This latest incident comes nearly eight months after the one-time couple were involved in a roadside skirmish in Spring, Texas on June 26, 2024 in which Michael contacted the authorities.

In a clip seen on TMZ, the pair were standing in the road in a heated exchange reportedly spurred by a number of disagreements and an arrangement in which Major stayed at his home while he was not there, Lohan told the outlet.

Major shared a clip in which she was in a driver’s seat while arguing with Michael, in a conflict in which no charges were ultimately filed, according to the outlet. ‘Get out of the car, I just spoke with your lawyer,’ Michael was seen yelling at Major, who urged him to step out of the road.

Lohan is fighting back. His attorney told TMZ the timing of the complaint is ‘suspicious’ and came a few days after he asked Major to move out of the guest house where she had been staying. Major then called her ex a ‘psychopath’ noting that he was ‘calling the f***ing cops.’

 She was then heard saying, ‘These poor kids, these poor children,’ then telling Lohan, ‘You’re out of your f***ing mind.’

After an officer appeared on the scene, Major said that Michael had been following her, jumped in front of her car and needed to be taken in on a psychiatric evaluation.

The clip ended with Major communicating with the officer. No charges were filed in that incident.
