Zoe Kravitz has revealed she ‘still cares’ for her ex-fiancé Channing Tatum, after the couple’s shock split after three years together.
Posing for the cover of ELLE’S March 2025 issue, the actress, 36, opened up about their ‘journey’ after meeting on the set of the film Blink Twice, admitting that it ‘warms her heart’ to hear fans praising his performance in the thriller.
During the interview, Zoe also spoke about her own inspiration for Blink Twice, which she wrote and directed, admitting she wanted to create a ‘summer camp’ vibe on set that would allow her cast to bring forward their own ideas.
It was reported in late October that Channing and Zoe ‘amicably’ decided to end their engagement, a year after it was first revealed they were set to tie the knot.
Asked whether the break-up has changed how she feels about the film today, a confused Zoe replied: ‘Not at all. I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much.
‘Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.’

Reflecting on her relationship with the Magic Mike star, Zoe added: ‘He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him.
‘He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.’
The former couple were last pictured together on Channing’s Instagram page in a post from September 3, which showed Zoë apparently snoozing on her then-fiancé’s shirtless chest as he snapped a selfie of the two.
Alongside the interview, Zoe also showed off her quirky sense of style in an edgy pH๏τoshoot, posing in looks including a тιԍнт white mini dress and a black crop top.
During the interview, Zoe detailed her inspiration behind her directorial debut, admitting that she wanted to focus the subject of the film on ‘trauma.’
She said: ‘It’s been really interesting to see the way that it’s become very timely, but it’s based on my observation of power dynamics in general.
‘I find it important to say that, not to be politically correct, but I feel like we’re letting ourselves off the hook a little too easily by trying to make this about three people. I’m like, ”Yes, people with power abuse it. This is a thing. It happens all the time. It’s still happening. And it’s not about these one or two or three people that you think it’s about, it’s about everybody.”
‘People focused a lot on the island, or the party part, or the billionaires part, but those were just devices to tell the story.

‘It’s really about power dynamics and having to pretend like you’re okay when you’re not, because you’re fearful of losing your life or your job or whatever.’
Blink Twice, which was released in August, follows a group of women who are exposed to strange occurrences after being invited to the private island of a billionaire tech mogul with his wealthy male friends.
The Batman star added that as the role of director she wanted to harbour a workplace where her cast could bring forward their own ideas, having drawn from her experiences on other sets.
She added: ‘I was trying to think about what my experience has been on set and what I find helpful, what I don’t find helpful, how I sometimes wish things were run.’
‘As an actor, we all get stereotyped in some way. [We’re often] told, ”This is what you’re good at, this is what you get to do.”
‘And so maybe after experiencing that, I subconsciously was like, ”No, it’s so much more fun to let people do something different.”
‘As a woman, I wanted to write really fully dimensional characters and give them a lot of fun scenes to do.’
Despite her split from Channing, Zoe is still set to work with her ex in their forthcoming film Alpha Gang.
Shooting is expected to begin sometime in mid to late 2025. An expected release date has not yet been confirmed.
Production insiders recently shared that the duo will be moving forward with the project and that they have respect for one another.
