Liam Payne’s Netflix talent show has reportedly been subject to major changes to avoid a backlash from fans.
The late singer filmed scenes as a judge on new show Building The Band just two months before his tragic death in Argentina last October.
However, show bosses are said to be worried that viewers will consider it in poor taste if he features too heavily in the show, and as a result he is being featured as little as possible.
It’s said to be impossible to remove his scenes entirely but bosses have been consulting with his family on how best to proceed.
A source told The Sun: ‘The feeling among execs at Netflix is that they want to err on the side of caution, and if that means having Liam in the least amount of scenes possible then that’s the step they’re willing to take.
‘They want to strike the right balance between having him feature in the show, doing the thing he loved, with having him feature too much, which would be a lot for his loved ones to contend with.’

They added: ‘Fans may be surprised by how little he ends up featuring in the finished series.’
MailOnline has contacted Netflix for comment.
Liam joined Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger as a judge on Building The Band.
The Netflix show, which is hosted by The Backstreet Boys star A.J. McClean, aims to find groups of talented singers from across the nation.
Each performer will enter the compeтιтion to find their perfect bandmates solely based on musical compatibility, connection, and merit.
The contestants will in complete control every step of the way but the judges are eager to see how well each singer performs under the pressure of lights, cameras, choreographs and audiences.
According to Netflix, viewers can expect ‘plenty of drama, next-level artistry, and unforgettable performances’.
Executive producer, Cat Lawson said last year: ‘Building The Band is a brave and bold undertaking for all involved as we hand over power to the singers themselves to form their own band based on chemistry first.’

She added: ‘With looks out of the equation, can they create a deeper connection with their bandmates?
‘With limited bands, there are difficult decisions and heart-stopping moments along the way, but ultimately the outcome is truly amazing, with bands forming who in my opinion are worthy of the very biggest stage!’
Liam was seen filming scenes in August last year, just two months before he fell to his death from his H๏τel balcony in Argentina on October 16.
His cause of death was confirmed to be the result of ‘polytrauma’ – which occurs when an individual suffers multiple traumatic injuries to their body.
Following his shock death, there was questions over whether the show would continue, with fans begging the streaming site to not get rid of the show.
Building The Band was Liam’s final project before his death.
