Maria Shriver is ‘so happy for’ her son Patrick Schwarzenegger, who scored a plum part as the wealthy Saxon Ratliff in season three of Max’s The White Lotus.

Audiences were shocked when they saw the 31-year-old nepo baby strip down for a slightly incestuous scene involving his younger brother Lochlan (Sam Nivola) during last week’s premiere.

But the 69-year-old former First Lady of California just made sure her eyes didn’t drift too low as she watched Patrick’s performance during the February 10th premiere at LA’s Paramount Theatre.

‘My kids were like, “Did you see that?” And I was like, “No. What?”‘ Maria recalled to People on Saturday.

‘So that shows you — a mother’s eyes are always in the kids’ eyes.’

Shriver continued: ‘I was so happy for him because he’s worked so hard. He takes classes, he’s really been grinding at it for more than a decade, and he wanted to work his way up — and he’s done it his way.’

The two-time Emmy-winning producer said Schwarzenegger’s success onscreen ‘actually makes me cry.’

Maria famously broke down in tears in January 2024 when the American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez actor first informed her he landed the role of the privileged son of a North Carolina financier (Jason Isaacs) being investigated by the FBI.

Shriver gushed last Tuesday: ‘What a thrill to watch you on one of my favorite shows, @thewhitelotus. This was the moment he told me he got the part. How amazing to see it back. To get to relive that joy. To feel it all over again! I hope it makes you smile just as much as it makes me smile.’
