This year, stars were tasked with dressing around the theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, and some nailed the look
IT’S the night when fashion’s elite come out to play – and this year’s Met Gala in New York didn’t disappoint.
The glittering fundraiser is hosted in honour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Insтιтute and sees the stars take to the red carpet dressed to impress.
Each year the event, nicknamed the “Oscars of the East Coast”, has a different theme to inspire the fashion choices.
And for this occasion the stars were asked to dress to reflect “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”.
The theme has been selected to pay tribute to the masterworks of religious art in the museum, and stars such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley nailing the look.
From Devon to the divine, Rosie is definitely our style angel, and looked heavenly in a shimmering metallic gown by Ralph Lauren, and she even brought her own halo.
