Robbie Williams claims psychic powers after UFO sightings dry up: ‘I think of people and they phone’

Robbie Williams claims psychic powers after UFO sightings dry up: ‘I think of people and they phone’

Robbie Williams has long been fascinated by the unexplained, but the pop icon says his days of spotting UFOs are behind him – replaced instead by eerie premonitions.

The Angels singer, 51, has previously spoken about his belief in extraterrestrial life and even claimed to have seen two unidentified flying objects hovering over Los Angeles nearly 20 years ago.

However, since becoming a father, Robbie says the otherworldly encounters have stopped.

Speaking on the Weaponized podcast with UFO experts Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp, he admitted: ‘Since the kids, zilch. Because my focus is with them and on them.’

Robbie – who has four children with wife Ayda Field – has been vocal about his interest in aliens for years, even appearing on a documentary about Skinwalker Ranch – a property in Utah dubbed the ‘Paranormal Disneyland’ in 2019.

He also featured in a 2008 BBC Radio 4 documentary Robbie Williams and Jon Ronson: Journey to the Other Side, which explored his deep fascination with extraterrestrial life.

But while he’s no longer spotting strange objects in the sky, he insists he’s experiencing something just as bizarre – an increase in seemingly psychic moments.

He said on the podcast: ‘You think of people and they phone. You think of people and they email.

‘A lot of this could be coincidence. But the rate that it is happening just recently, oh wow, you’ve got my attention.’

Robbie’s pᴀssion for the paranormal is nothing new. He once joked he’d give up his pop career to become a full-time UFO hunter, and in 2020, he claimed to have spoken to ghosts, been visited by aliens and seen strange orbs of light which he was convinced were extraterrestrial life forms.

In the 2019 documentary, Robbie stressed his belief in aliens saying: ‘If I’m honest I should not have the luxury to disbelieve either, I believe there’s other stuff there, I’ve said it.

‘I always try and qualify that with ‘but I’m not sure, because I might be crazy and don’t worry about me, I’m just an idiot’, but I do believe.’

He added: ‘I’ve seen a few strange things. I’ve experienced phenomena I can’t explain.

‘I’ve seen one right above me and if I got a tennis ball out I could have hit it with a tennis ball.

‘No substance was involved. No, no substance was involved at all.’

It comes after his movie biopic Better Man is set to be transformed into a West End musical after BAFTA nod.

The movie has received glowing reviews from critics, as they praised the film as ‘riveting’, ‘bombastic’ and ‘utterly inspired’.

The semi-biographical movie follows the singer’s meteoric rise to fame as a member of Take That and subsequent dramatic fall, as he battled with his personal demons and the challenges that success can bring.

But in a twist on the genre, the pop star is portrayed as a chimpanzee in the film, while everyone else is human, with Jonno Davies acting the movements via motion capture technology and Robbie doing most of the voicework.

And a stage show spin off of the BAFTA nominated movie is being planned, the film’s co-writer and director Michael Gracey has now revealed.

Gracey has revealed his inspiration for the West End transfer is the upcoming theatre transformation of beloved film series Paddington, and he hopes to use the same technology for Better Man.

‘It is the most magical thing I’ve ever seen in person,’ he told The Mirror of Paddington. ‘In a world where we are fed imagery every single day that is unreal and we just dismiss all of it, to have something that magical in front of you physically is incredible.’

‘So, using that same technology, imagine a monkey. And yes, this is very much going to be a stage production. Probably in the West End first before Broadway.’

Asked about a possible stage version, Robbie said: ‘What are my non-negotiables if this becomes a stage play? I don’t have that power. I’m sure I do, but I’m not going to get in the way of myself.’

‘Whoever my management choose to partner with – if we’re lucky enough to do that – we will partner with them because they know how to do it and we don’t, so we’ll just leave them to it.’

While Better Man has been popular with critics and reached number five at the box office during its UK run,—the film has been labelled a box office bomb after grossing just $1.1million (£908k) in the US.

The West End show though could rake in millions for Robbie, boosting his already staggering bank balance.
