She’s the daughter of one of football’s biggest stars.

But since rising to fame as a star of the Love Island villa, Gemma Owen has been carving out a name for herself as a fashion star and influencer.

The brunette beauty, 21, has been setting up her own home after moving out of the £4 million mansion she shared with her family.

In a string of Instagram posts, Gemma has revealed her bedroom and kitchen have been transformed, with a muted new decor.

One video showed the before and after of her newly-renovated kitchen which is packed with grey appliances, and gold accents and fixtures. 

Her living room and bedroom continued with the all-grey theme, including metallic blinds, cabinets and matching satin pillows.

Gemma was a contestant on Love Island in 2022 when she was just 19 years old, and since then has carved out a career as an influencer

However, Gemma has faced backlash from some users online, after revealing that the renovation was part of a collaboration with a well-known design company, meaning it’s likely she didn’t pay a penny for the work.

‘I’m so in love with my kitchen transformation by the incredible team at @prestigedesignyorkshire who have shared my excitement for the project throughout. I’m so happy with the glow up, it’s everything that I wanted & more. @prestigedesignyorkshire.’

Gemma, who rose to fame on Love Island also shared videos of her new bedroom, while gushing over the luxurious new blinds and curtains she received from Dutch Limes Oak flooring.

The clip revealed the star’s enormous bed, alongside a sleek, white built-in wardrobe.

Some fans have since taken to the comments to question Gemma being given such lavish home transformations, asking whether she was given them for free.

Posts included: ‘It’s beautiful..I can’t get my head around those being more than able to afford it being given it for free, can still so the #ad but give it to someone who is trying their best to get their home sorted;’

‘It’s the same with all famous not just her there’s no point saying it as they won’t pay miss nobody to mr nobody to advertise for them’

The post meant that Gemma likely didn’t pay a penny for the word done to her home

‘So yeah it is annoying but it happens why does that one person deserve it over thousands of others trying just as hard either if you put it like that everyone is trying their best what makes say you deserve more than the lady next door??’

A third penned: ‘It’s life unfortunately money goes to money.’

Prior to moving into her cottage, Gemma had been living with her parents at their £4 million mansion in the Welsh countryside.

The Grade II listed manor usually has plenty of privacy as it is nestled within 42 acres of countryside in the Welsh village of Northop, near Mold.

And with plenty of greenery surrounding the home, there’s room for a putting green as well as a large children’s play area, which Keith couldn’t resist having a go on as he showed viewers the garden.

Inside the delights continue, with the lavish open plan kitchen and dining area boasting a luxe grey colour scheme and being kitted out with crushed velvet bar stools and a quilted breakfast bar.

Meanwhile, the lounge had a slightly more homely feel, with wood panelling on the walls and large brown leather sofas artfully arranged in the large living space.

A games room had enough room to host a full-size snooker table, whilst it also contained a trophy cabinet and picture frame on the wall including his England jerseys from the 89 caps the striker won.

His 2001 Ballon d’Or also takes pride of place in a gilded trophy cabinet, whilst signed footballs from Owen’s 17-year career are artfully arranged around the perimeter of the room.

Elsewhere inside the home, Michael has a home gym and spa, complete with a tanning bed. Whilst he has a stunning Jacuzzi next to his indoor swimming pool.

Gemma is the eldest of four children former England and Liverpool star Michael shares with wife Louise.

Ahead of her first stint on the show she admitted that her England legend father ‘wasn’t happy’ about her signing up but he trusted her not to ’embarrᴀss’ him.

The swimwear brand owner told MailOnline at the time that Michael resisted having a ‘tantrum’ after learning she will be on the dating show, and eventually gave his blessing, saying: ‘I’m not going to tell you what to do.’

She said: ‘I still wouldn’t say that my dad is buzzing about me doing Love Island.

‘He’s very supportive in whatever I decide to do. He didn’t have a mᴀssive tantrum or anything like that. He was pretty chilled, he trusts me not to do anything to embarrᴀss him. He took it quite well.

‘He didn’t say I couldn’t do this or give me any dos or don’ts. He said I’m not going to tell you what to do, I trust you, you have never given us a reason not to trust you, go for it but I will always have my family’s thoughts and opinions in the forefront of my mind because we are all super close and they are the most important people to me.’

Gemma’s 2022 appearance on the show was not without controversy and saw fans calling for a higher minimum age to be enforced after expressing their shock over Gemma only being 19 years old.
