Katie Price has been cast in a new pantomime amid her money woes.

The ex-glamour model, 46, recently played an Ugly Sister in a festive production of Cinderella alongside fellow showbiz legend Kerry Katona.

Now, she has been cast opposite former EastEnders star Bobby Davro in Pinocchio and will share the role of the fairy alongside former Casualty actress Amanda Henderson.   

Producers wrote on Instagram: ‘We are delighted to announce that Katie Price and Casualty’s Amanda Henderson will be sharing the role of Fairy across the dates of this year’s Easter Panto tour.

‘They will join the previously announced casting of Bobby Davro as Stromboli plus Easter Panto favourites Ryan Greaves, Kate Salmon and Phyl Harries.’

It is thought that Katie could earn a five figure sum for the appearance, similar to her last stint in pantomime.

The show will open in Northwich at the end of March before continuing on Sevenoaks, Clacton and Northampton.

Across Easter weekend – which kicks off on Friday 18 April – the show will be at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham. 

Towards the end of April, the pantomime will wrap up  in Cannock at the Prince of Wales theatre. 

The career move for Katie comes amid a string of money woes which has seen her in court over bankruptcy issues. 

Last week, she had of her two bankruptcies discharged following a hearing at a specialist court in London.

But the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star still owes the taxman a staggering £750,000 after plunging into debt.

She was was twice declared bankrupt – including in 2019 over her unpaid bills.

Bankruptcy orders typically end after a year in England and Wales, but the automatic discharge of Price’s first bankruptcy was suspended, meaning she was still bound by its terms.

However, the suspension was lifted by Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Sebastian Prentis 

Katie – who did not attend the hearing – was also declared bankrupt last year over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000, which remains in force.

She is set to be grilled in court over that bankruptcy on April 8.

The news is the latest chapter in the former beauty star’s long-running financial battle, which has already seen her served an eviction notice from her ‘Mucky Mansion’.

She purchased the property in 2014 from former Tory peer Francis Maude and it featured in a Channel Four series as she attempted to renovate the house.
