Ellie Leach was spotted flogging old clothes on Vinted for as little as £4 after revealing she’s ‘unemployed’.

The Coronation Street star, 23, won the hearts’ of the nation in 2023 when she appeared on the 21st series of Strictly Come Dancing and won the Glitterball trophy.

But since her whirlwind Strictly experience, Ellie is trying to save some cash by selling her clothes while she’s unemployed.

According to The Sun, the former ITV soap star is selling high street dresses and sandals.

The publication reported Ellie previously posted a snap on her Instagram, detailing the career update.

Sharing a picture of her friend Hannah working on a laptop, she captioned the post: ‘Working lunch (we are booking a holiday)’

The Manchester-born beauty added: ‘She’s a student and I’m unemployed.’

In another story, she wrote: Selling some bits on my Vinted if anyone fancied having a look.

‘This picture has no relevance I just looked cute in the Avanti West Coast toilets.’

After Ellie was axed from her role as Faye Windᴀss in July 2023, she signed to Strictly.

She played Faye on the cobbles for over a decade until she was forced to leave when ‘producers no longer saw a future for her character’.

Lifting the glitterball with her partner Vito Coppola, Ellie made headlines for her sensational dance skills.

The actress was the youngest celebrity to ever win the show, clinching the тιтle at just 22 years old. 

After her Strictly stint, Ellie revealed she was out of a job after her role as Miss Scarlett in Cluedo 2: The Next Chapter came to an end.

Since her record-breaking win, Ellie also appeared in reality show Drama Queen – which followed some of the best known soap stars.

Ahead of her time on the show, Ellie split from her boyfriend, and said at the time she was looking forward to building her confidence.

She told Hello! magazine: ‘It’s been really nice to throw myself into something new. This is all about me now. I just want to give 100 per cent of myself to Strictly. 

‘I’m really excited to enjoy myself and hopefully get a little bit of extra self-confidence.’

Ellie, who was on Corrie for 12 years, said she was keen for people to know the real her rather than a character.

She said at the time: ‘People have seen me grow up on Corrie and might still think that I am still that schoolgirl, but hopefully people can see that I am grown up now. I want people to know me for me rather than as a character.’
