Zara McDermott sent temperatures soaring on Wednesday as she posed for a new ʙικιɴι-clad selfie, while soaking in the sunshine in Phuket, Thailand.

The former Love Island star, 28, is currently in Asia to film an upcoming documentary series, but explained she had the morning off and took the opportunity to slip into her swimwear.

She showcased a glimpse of her toned midriff and ample cleavage in the blue two-piece, which she wore underneath a white linen cover-up.

Zara – who recently parted ways with ex-boyfriend Sam Thompson – sported minimal makeup to display her golden tan and wore her long hair in beachy waves.

Sharing the snap to her Instagram Stories, she wrote: ‘Mornings off work’, before taking to her socials once again to reveal she’d made a new furry friend.

The reality star posted a pH๏τo of an adorable cat snuggled into her duvet and explained: ‘Left my door open last night for a bit… this cat ended up creeping into my room and having a nap on my bed.

She took to her socials once again to reveal she’d made a new furry friend, sharing a pH๏τo of an adorable cat snuggled into her duvet

‘She hasn’t left my side since. I’ve named her Mango Sticky-Rice ❤️’.

Her new feline friend will no doubt be a great comfort to Zara, after she admitted she was missing her own pet cats last week, by sharing a series of sweet snaps to wish them a happy Valentine’s Day. 

The pH๏τos saw her looking radiant and full of joy as she cuddled her beloved fur babies, two ragdolls named Albus and Cedric.

And in the caption, she wished the two cats a happy Valentine’s Day, following her split from Sam, 32, in December, after five years together.

Zara gushed: ‘happy Valentine’s Day tiny little bears.❤️’ I love you more than life !!! You are two of the best things that have ever happened to me… (love heart emoji)

‘Is it normal to shed a tear when looking at pics of your cats when you’re away from them ?? Asking for a friend.’

Zara is currently filming her new documentary series, produced by South Shore Productions, which sees her explore the destination which has become a popular tourist spot for young Brits.

The series kicked off in bustling Bangkok and Zara’s next destination will be the popular party island of Pattaya. 

The star’s main goal for the documentary is to discover why thousands of young Brits flock to the exotic location every year. 

From backpackers to those who are seeking longer-term roots – the new documentary will unearth the secrets of the vast and varied country.

Speaking to the BBC, Zara previously expressed her excitement about exploring a new country: ‘I’m excited to discover a country that so many young people like me are heading to right now.’ 

‘There’s clearly a fascination with the nightlife, parties and stunning beaches – but there seems to be other intriguing reasons people are going to Thailand and staying.’
