Benny Blanco made a sad admission about his relationship with fiancée Selena Gomez in a candid new interview on Tuesday. 

The music producer, 36, shared his fears and insecurities surrounding his romance with the singer, 32, as he discussed their future.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, Benny admitted that he often worries that Selena is going to change her mind and leave him.

Benny said: ‘I’m so scared she’s just going to wake up and be like, “What? No”‘.

The Only Murders In The Building actress reᴀssured him and said: ‘You’re stuck with me’, before describing him as ‘very romantic.’ 

Benny also added that the pair always support each other, he said: ‘There’s no ego between us. She’s praying for me to win, and I’m praying for her to win.’

Benny and Selena are currently preparing to drop their highly anticipated joint album, I Said I Love You First, which is set to drop on March 21. 

The couple were initially apprehensive about collaborating but made a pact to stop if things ever became uncomfortable or ‘weird.’ 

Despite the early ‘jitters,’ the album ‘sort of fell into place with a lot of hard work and love,’ Blanco added.

Last week the lovestruck couple dropped the first love song from the album, Scared of Loving You, along with a sweet music video filmed at Disneyland. 

It comes after the Emilia Pérez star recently vowed to focus on her acting career and put music on the backburner.

Selena wrote in a caption to her 421 million followers, ‘I always trick you guys. My NEW album I Said I Love You First, with my best friend @bennyblanco, is out on 3/21.’

The note continued, ‘Our first song, Scared of Loving You, is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!’

Benny commented, ‘I love you baby,’ collecting a whopping 49,000 likes.

And Selena’s beauty brand, Rare, also dropped a line that read: ‘you tricked us fr…can’t wait for 3/21!! ❤️.’

During a December chat for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Selena opened up about her career in entertainment.

She noted, ‘I definitely think my strong suit is probably acting. But one thing I’m proud of in music is being able to tell a story — my favorite songs are mostly ballads, and they’re very transparent and honest.’

The Disney sensation added, ‘But I think I might be a little too old for the pop-star life.

‘I’m genuinely so happy to just be in this new era of my life, because in a lot of ways, it’s just the beginning.’

Selena’s last musical project was March 2021’s Spanish-language album Revelación, released nearly four years ago.

The Golden Globe nominee revealed her engagement news on Instagram in December, sharing pH๏τos of her huge diamond engagement ring.
