Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart’s Love Island break-up quickly became one of the most memorable scenes the villa had ever seen.

But the pair probably didn’t imagine that fast forward five years and Amy would be interviewing the dancer about his new romance. 

Curtis came third on Monday night’s final of Love Island: All Stars with his new girlfriend and 2023 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.  

Ahead of the live final, Amy – who has returned to Love Island in a hosting capacity in recent years – entered the villa to interview the finalists, which meant she came face to face with her ex and his new girlfriend – and had to quiz the pair on their romance on camera. 

And Amy made sure to kick off the chat with a cheeky coffee jibe in reference to Curtis’s famous line. 

Their awkward reunion came less than two years after Curtis had an on-air run-in with another ex, Maura Higgins, when she interviewed him on Love Island Games in their first meeting since they split over allegations he had cheated on her.

During his first Love Island stint in 2019, Curtis romanced former air stewardess Amy before dumping her to pursue his feelings for now ex-girlfriend Maura.

In a viral clip which has haunted the star since his appearance on the show, Amy begged with Curtis: ‘If someone likes you they want to have a cuddle in bed with you in the morning.’

He then replied: ‘I know and I also want to be the person that gets up and makes everyone a coffee so everyone is ready for the morning.’

Referencing the iconic line, Amy opened her interview on Monday with: ‘Right how many coffees have you had Ekin in the morning?’ 

A stunned Ekin-Su turned to Curtis as he added: ‘I think I’ve made you quite a few. Now be honest, did you like them? That’s the thing.’

Ekin-Su said: ‘Let me think about it… not at times when things were bumpy but yes other than that yes I loved them [laughs].

‘You didn’t get one in the face,’ Amy joked, before Ekin-Su added: ‘Or maybe on the knee, but yeah.’

‘There was a bit of WKD in there wasn’t there,’ Curtis said before pulling Ekin-Su in for a kiss on the forehead.

Amy continued: ‘I love how boys are really protective of their shoes aren’t they? And you went for the shoe, she went for the shoes. Was that you know… hit him where it hurts?’

‘Exactly babe exactly,’ Ekin-Su agreed – before an awkward Curtis turned to the camera and said: ‘You two should just continue here.’

Amy added: ‘Now you’ve both been in a final before. Ekin you’ve won before, Curtis you placed fourth, how does it feel to be back in the final together?’

‘I’m not going to lie I’m really excited but I’m nervous,’ Curtis admitted. ‘I don’t know why I’m nervous but I am.’

Amy replied: ‘Is it seeing new people for the first time in weeks? Because there’s a live studio audience out there, so excited to see all of you.’

‘I think it’s a pinch me moment, I can’t believe we’re here,’ Ekin-Su said. ‘I’m like is this a dream? For us we’ve all won, we’ve all found our partners and this is it you know?’

Amy was left brokenhearted and quit the show back in 2019 to escape watching Curtis and Maura as their relationship blossomed in the villa.

‘In hindsight, if I do find a girl this time, I will perhaps cuddle her in bed rather than make coffee… so Amy taught me a lesson.’

Maura was tasked with grilling axed Islanders about their time in the villa and among them was none other than Curtis.

Before the cameras rolled, the former couple exchanged a brief and polite hello, asking about each other’s families in a noticeably tense moment. 

‘Long time no see, Curtis,’ Maura said before Curtis crumbled into a sheepish laugh. 

After the brief pleasantries, Maura wasted no time diving into the details of her ex’s time on Love Island Games.

‘It’s a bit weird to be out,’ Curtis told her, before revealing he’s ‘gutted’ to have left so early in the contest.

She then challenged him on his flirtatious behaviour with the other women in the villa, despite being matched with Lisa Celander.

‘You were coupled up with Lisa, but you were clearly getting to know some of the other girls,’ she said. ‘There was a lot of flirting going on. But you always seemed to gravitate back to Lisa. Why do you think that was?’

At one point Maura then teased that Curtis ‘still has no balls’, to which he responded, ‘You would know!’

He also brought up the issue of his snoring in the villa, asking: ‘Do I snore?’

‘I don’t know,’ she replied. ‘I mean I can’t remember. It’s that long ago, honestly.’
