BBC Breakfast presenters Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell had to style out a technology fail live on air on Monday.
The pair were keen to find out what viewers could expect on BBC’s Morning Live so headed to the studio to chat to hosts Gethin Jones and Rav Wilding.
However the two were unable to hear Jon and Sarah and carried on chatting, despite being live on air.
Sarah – who was stepping in for Sally Nugent on the BBC show – said: ‘Now Morning Live follows Breakfast on One, so shall we pop along and see what they’ve got in store.’
When she realised that nobody had replied to her, the host added: ‘Rav, Gethin… morning?’
Sarah and Jon sat awkwardly on the sofa as they listened in on what they were saying, completely unaware that they were being filmed.

‘I can hear them,’ Jon confessed.
Sarah added: ‘I know… they are there.’
Later on in the segment, Gethin mentioned the blunder and said: ‘Do you know what would have been really lovely is telling us we were live.’
He asked the BBC Breakfast presenters: ‘Did we get away with that guys?’
And Sarah replied: ‘Yeah, thanks for turning up guys.’
Fighting back the laughter, Gethin said: ‘That’s a good start.’
Jon chimed in: ‘That’s what happened when it’s only the blokes at Morning Live…’
BBC Breakfast is usually presented by Jon and co-star Sally Nugent every Monday and Wednesday.
