The 47-year-old filmmaker — who was honored with the Cinematheque Award in December — took the red carpet by storm as she modeled the striking look, which was designed with two see-through, vertical lace panels from bust-to-toe.
The eye-catching look also boasted feathered boa-like sleeves that adorned the star’s forearms.
For the high-profile occasion, Chastain wore her signature ginger-toned locks parted down the middle with front pieces slicked behind her ears and the ends styled in ringlet curls.
Her look was complemented with a pair of pink stone drop earrings and the style icon skipped a necklace.
Taking to Instagram three weeks before the festival, the Scenes From A Marriage actress shared a note expressing her excitement about the event.

During Saturday’s red carpet, Jessica was aglow in a full face of soft pink-toned makeup.
She stars in Dreams, a drama, with Isaac Hernandez and Rupert Friend, who were also at the premiere.
The feature was written and directed by Michel Franco, who wore an all-black look to the swanky affair.

The silver screen siren, who stars as Jennifer McCarthy in the movie, was unmissable in a neon green sheer blouse.

The movie follows Isaac’s Fernando, a young ballet dancer from Mexico, as he chases dreams of international recognition and a life in the United States.
Believing his socialite and philanthropist lover, Jessica’s Jennifer, will support him, he leaves everything behind — narrowly escaping death in the process.
However, Jennifer encourages Fernando to enter the country illegally for her foundation to give a showcase of his art.
The film is hoping to secure US distribution, with IndieWire giving the project an A- rating.
