Corrie star Simon Gregson’s wife Emma spotted without her wedding ring AGAIN after he was forced to deny split rumours

Simon Gregson’s wife, Emma, was spotted without her wedding ring again on Friday.

Last month, the 50-year-old Coronation Street star’s partner was referred to as his ‘estranged wife’ in business documents, prompting Simon to deny claims that they had split.

Now, Emma has been seen without her wedding ring once again, while shopping at Sainsbury’s in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on Valentine’s Day.

She was wrapped up in a black parka and was seen carrying a bouquet of flowers along with a Sainsbury’s bag.

Emma wore a black sweatshirt, cargo jogging bottoms, and white trainers to complete her casual look.

Simon married Emma in 2010 after five years of dating, and the couple shares three sons: Alfie, 17, Harry, 15, and Henry Teddy, 8.

Rumours of a split had circulated as Simon, who plays Steve McDonald on Corrie, is reportedly facing financial difficulties.

MailOnline has contacted Simon Gregson’s representative for comment.

Last month, it was reported that Simon could lose his home if he doesn’t repay a £250,000 loan he took from his production firm.

The veteran soap star repays Simon Gregson Productions a sum of £1,500 per month, according to official papers seen by The Mirror.

A source told the publication: ‘Simon and Emma have not split and are still very much together. Simon has no idea why Emma is listed as his ‘estranged wife’ in financial paperwork.’

It was also reported that Simon and Emma have three years to repay the loan, and if they fail, they have agreed to sell their family home.

The report further states: ‘The Director had an overdrawn loan account of £252,824. The analysis also revealed that this money was removed from the Company’s bank account and paid into Mr Gregory’s joint bank account with his estranged wife. Therefore, any claim would be addressed to both individuals.’

In 2023, Simon liquidated Simon Gregson Productions Ltd, owing £165,000 to HMRC and Coutts bank for a Covid bounce-back loan.

Simon, who first appeared on Corrie in December 1989 at just 15 years old, became a household name as tearaway teen Steve McDonald.

Earlier this month, he bravely opened up about his battle with anxiety attacks on Loose Women, admitting that he didn’t think he could even make it to the show that day.

He appeared on the panel to discuss his journey and coping strategies, hoping to provide support for others experiencing similar struggles.

Opening up about his mental health struggles, Simon said: ‘Yeah, with me it all came to a head in about 2015.’

‘I kept having anxiety attacks, panic attacks. Which is so bizarre because I’ve been having them all day today. I was like there’s no way I can go on.’

‘It just hits you like a ton of bricks and it just makes you completely incapacitated.’

Loose Women panellist Sunetra Sarker, 51, proceeded to ask the star when he first started experiencing symptoms.

To which he candidly replied: ‘I’ve been having them since about 1990, but I just kind of got on with it.’

‘But then when I had children, and they were noticing it and they started talking that they’re getting anxious, I thought ‘Oh I’ve pᴀssed it on, it’s like a cold I’ve given them.’

Simon previously admitted that shooting to fame on the soap had a detrimental effect on his mental health.

Speaking to YouTube channel DEEP, Simon discussed the impact joining the show at that time had on him, revealing that the thought of his own kids going through what he went through makes him very ‘upset’.

Speaking about his and co-star Nicholas’ rise to fame, he shared: ‘We were mᴀssive overnight and it was very odd and it was hard to compute for a young man. But there was no help!’

Simon went on to say that nowadays when people are cast on the soap, they are sat down and have the implications of being on TV explained to them, with the show informing them about things like press interest, fan reactions, the impact on families and potential criticism of the role.

He added: ‘But with us, there was nothing. So we were kind of dropped in the middle of the ocean at fifteen and left to swim to shore.’

On how he suffered mentally as a result, Simon continued: ‘It had a mᴀssive impact on my mental health, looking back.’

‘It makes me very upset for the only reason that I’ve got kids the same age now and the thought of them going through what I went through is horrible. It’s not nice.’
