Christina Haack chose her second ex-husband Ant Anstead as a guest judge for episode four of The Flip Off, which airs in one week.

The surprising choice was revealed in a a sneak peek on Wednesday.

Christina, 41, stars on The Flip Off with her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa. 

She was married to Ant from 2018 until they split in 2021; they are parents to son Hudson, five.

Christina also has two children Taylor, 14, and Bradyen, nine, with Tarek. 

In the sneak peek, Ant was looking at the house she’s been flipping, to which he told her: ‘The small details in here are really driving me crazy,’ via People.

The star answered back, ‘Like?’ 

Ant replied back: ‘The paint is missing in the corner there. That isn’t finished correctly.’

During the sneak peek, Christina reveals the news of her choice for surprise judge via the phone to Tarek and Heather.

In addition, he also gave critiques to Tarek and Heather’s flip.

‘At no point in human existence should anybody wallpaper on the ceilings,’ Ant told them.

The peek showed Ant before he gave his pick in the winner of the flip off: ‘I came in thinking this was about the design, the execution. But actually, this isn’t about houses at all.’

‘What’s going on right now?’ Tarek asked wife Heather.

In January, Tarek and Heather talked to People about Christina working with Ant again – despite their bitter 2020 divorce and custody battle.

‘All of a sudden they’re besties,’ Tarek told People, with Heather noting that it ‘threw us off’ since they thought her and Ant ‘weren’t talking.’

They noted that at the time that Ant and Christina’s friendship unfolded ‘in front of their eyes.’

‘[Christina] started following [Ant] on Instagram and we were like, “What? What’s going on? It really was like that for us.”‘ Heather said.

‘You see it transpire on TV and we’re so thrown off by the situation. I think we texted her, “Why are you following Ant? What’s going on”‘ she added.

‘I feel like some of [the judges] that I picked were just to mess with him [Tarek]. It worked,’ Christina told the outlet. 

The blonde bombshell’s revelation comes after she revealed it was easier to film the show without her third ex-husband Josh Hall. 

The star, who was joined by ex-husband Tarek and his wife Heather Rae for an appearance last month on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealed that it’s easier to film their show The Flip Off without her ex-husband Josh.

‘It’s so much easier without somebody else bothering me,’ Christina said, referring to ex Josh, whom she split from in July 2024 after three years of marriage.

‘I mean, I don’t have to ask approval from anyone, no one’s like weighing me down,’ she added.

Jennifer asked her if she felt any disadvantages, since she was one person on her team and Tarek, 43, and Heather, 37, were two people on their team.

‘No, I think I have an advantage,’ Christina said.

Christina was married to Tarek from 2009 until 2018; they share two kids: Taylor, 14, and Brayden nine.

Heather and Tarek married in October 2021 after meeting in 2019; they share son Tristan, 22 months.

Christina and her third husband Josh, 43, tied the knot in October 2021 but separated in July 2024.

She was previously married to Ant Anstead from 2018 until 2021; they share son Hudson, five.

Christina, Tarek and Heather will star on The Flip Off series on HGTV, which is set to air Wednesday, January 29.

Heather told Us Weekly of the show, which pits Heather and Tarek against Christina in a series of home renovation challenges, ‘Oh, my gosh, it is so good.’

‘One of us wins. We can’t tell you who,’ she said, while Tarek added, ‘There’s a lot of “oh s**t moments that people would never expect that when they tune in, they’re gonna find out what I’m talking about.’

Christina’s ex-husband Josh Hall was slated to be on The Flip Off, though the couple split in July after three years of marriage.

Christina said that she, ‘did not enjoy filming’ with Josh before they got separated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

‘Having split up made this so much easier and so much better in every way. The show would have been hard to film,’ Hall said.

She added that Josh did not like her, ‘dynamic’ with ex Tarek, stating, ‘Some would call it “flirty.” It’s more, like, a sibling-type thing.’

Christina added he was, ‘insecure,’ and, ‘I feel like I was not shining as bright to try and not make him feel emasculated, but who wants to live like that?’

Both Heather and Tarek have been supportive of Christina since the split, with Heather adding, ‘We’ve been supporting her since we found out. We’re just here for her, no matter what she needs. [We’re] raising the kids together and just keeping them happy. And she’s good. She’s in a good place.’

Tarek added, ‘She’s doing well. Strong girl. She is a tough cookie.’

Christina has hired famed lawyer Laura Wᴀsser, perhaps best known for representing Kim Kardashian and other high-profile clients.

The star is now in a relationship Christopher Larocca, whom she took on a double date with Tarek and Heather this week.
