Danny Dyer and his co-star Rebel Wilson were spotted filming scenes for their new movie in Knaresborough, Yorkshire on Wednesday. 

The English actor, 47, is co-starring in a new Christmas movie called Tinsel Town alongside Hollywood favourite Rebel, 44, and 24 actor Kiefer Sutherland, 58. 

Set for a festive season streaming release in December 2025, Rebel plays a choreographer for a small town stage company in Northern England, who becomes involved with a newcomer.

And filming is clearly well underway, as the stars braved the chilly weather while shooting a car scene in town for the first time. 

Danny kept warm in a navy double-breasted coat and striped scarf as he drove a classic BMW convertible past Rebel. 

Meanwhile, the camera crew was seen holding umbrellas to battle the elements.

Rebel, on the other hand, layered up in a stylish burgundy coat while waiting patiently for her cue. 

The plot of Tinsel Town follows a fictional action star named Bradley Mack (played by Kiefer), whose career takes a downturn after he’s dropped from his own franchise.

Seeking a fresh start, he heads to England to make a name for himself on the West End. 

However, he’s unexpectedly booked to play a lead role in Cinderella for a tiny stage company in a remote northern village.

As rehearsals drag on, Mack forms a connection with Jill (Rebel), who helps him rediscover his pᴀssion and move beyond the disappointments of his past. 

Rebel previously shared her excitement about the movie, saying: ‘I love British Christmas movies.’

She continued: ‘Because in Australia we’re just on the beach having a BBQ – and so now I feel like I get to have a classic British Christmas, freezing my t***s off but laughing and sledding all the way!’

Directed by Chris Foggin, known for the 2023 Netflix comedy drama Bank of Dave, Tinsel Town will be available to stream on Sky Cinema at Christmas 2025.

As the stars took a break from filming, camera crew protected the cars interior with several umbrellas

In other news, Rebel’s directorial debut, The Deb, is still awaiting release. 

The actress also recently celebrated her second wedding to wife Ramona Agruma in Australia. 

Rebel confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing pH๏τos of the couple after their legal ceremony in her hometown. 

Rebel revealed her sister Liberty officiated their wedding, which was attended by their closest family and friends. 

‘My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney!’ she wrote.

‘It meant my 94 year old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year!’

Filming for their new Christmas movie comes after Rebel married her wife Ramona Agruma for a second time in Australia in December last year

Rebel looked chic in an off-the-shoulder pink dress as she posed with Ramona at Sydney Harbour. 

The couple shared a kiss with the iconic Harbour Bridge in the background and also celebrated with Rebel’s grandmother after the ceremony. 

This second wedding follows their Italian ceremony in Sardinia on September 28, where their daughter Royce served as flower girl.

The couple, who had planned a 2025 beach wedding, decided to move up their ceremony. 

Rebel and Ramona first met in 2021 and announced their engagement in February 2023.
