Selena Gomez is reportedly set to release new music ahead of battling it out at the BAFTAs on Sunday. 

The Come & Get It songstress, who last released an album, Rare in 2020, will share the exciting secret single with her fans on Friday. 

According to The Sun, Selena will drop the track ahead of battling it out for Best Supporting Actress for Netflix movie Emilia Prerez at the BAFTAs in London. 

The song will be shared on Valentine’s Day, according to the report, as Selena prepares to spend her first romantic holiday with new fiance Benny Blanco. 

The Disney actress previously released her song My Mind & Me, which was for her documentary film Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, in 2022.

The Only Murders star previously said that her next album might be her last, as she would like to focus on acting.

Though she has previously had hit singles, Love You Like a Love Song, Come & Get It, and Wolves.

It comes after Selena admitted she feels like ‘some of the magic has disappeared’ following the Emilia Perez controversy.

The musical crime film found itself in the middle of a media storm after it was revealed the singer’s castmate Karla Sofia Gascon had posted a string of racist tweets in the past that had referred to the Muslim community and the late George Floyd.

Selena too was subjected to a mean tweet, where the Spanish actress appeared to called her a ‘rich rat.’

Addressing the scandal at Santa Barbara Film Festival on Sunday, where she received the Virtuosos Award, she said: ‘Some of the magic has disappeared.

‘But I choose to continue to be proud of what I’ve done and I’m just grateful.’

She added: ‘I live with no regrets, and I would do this movie over and over again if I could.’

Her admission comes weeks after she lost a whopping 707,880 Instagram followers amid backlash for her own emotional deportation video, in which she sobbed about President Donald Trump’s mᴀss deportations of undocumented immigrants.

Selena’s fellow Emilia Perez cast member Zoe Saldana previously said she was ‘disappointed’ with the scandal that has put a stain on the film.

Gascón became the first trans person to be nominated for an Oscar for her starring role in Emilia Perez.

However, her history setting journey has been on a downward slope since racist tweets from her past emerged.

Two months ago The Only Murders In The Building actress announced that Blanco had popped the big question to her after a year and a half of dating.

She posted a series of snaps to her main Instagram page that had captured the special moment.

In one image, the star only showed her left hand to give her fans and followers a close-up glimpse of the eye-catching, marquise diamond ring.

The engagement also pays homage to Selena’s hit 2015 track тιтled, Good For You, where she notably sings the lyrics: ‘I’m on my marquise diamonds / I’m a marquise diamond / Could even make that Tiffany jealous.’

Since the big milestone, Gomez has kept her fans updated by sharing a variety of snaps as she excitedly showcased the diamond sparkler.
