Jamie Borthwick has addressed romance rumours with Tasha Ghouri for the first time after the Strictly Come Dancing co-stars were seen at a H๏τel together.

The EastEnders star, who took part in the show last year, has recently been linked to the former Love Islander but laughed off the claims they are more than friends.

Tasha, 26, recently split from her boyfriend of more than two years Andrew, 29, who she met on the 2022 series of the ITV reality dating show.

Following their break-up, rumours have swirled about her relationship with Jamie, who has now told MailOnline he sees the dancer as a ‘sister’.

When asked what he thinks of the speculation, Jamie said: ‘Tasha? I laugh, Tasha is my sister. We laugh, honestly. It provides such comedy. 

Jamie was then asked if Tasha is ‘in the sibling zone’, to which he said: ‘Absolutely’.

Touching on his Strictly live tour experience, Jamie said it was ‘amazing’ but he is now ready to hang up his dancing shoes. 

He said: ‘We finished not even 24 hours ago, our last show was at the O2. We had five nights, it was brilliant. The whole tour was amazing.

‘Accepting that all good things must come to an end. I’ve been lucky. The end of 2023, all of 2024 and the start of 2025 was all about Strictly for me.’

‘I’ve had a good run, but now it’s time to pack it in’, he even added that he wouldn’t do it again if he was asked.

Jamie’s reʙuттal comes after he and Tasha arrived back at their Birmingham H๏τel after enjoying an evening dinner following her recent split from Andrew.  

Tasha and Andrew reportedly decided to end their relationship in January, with Tasha since seen searching for love again on the celebrity dating app Raya.

Tasha and Jamie, who were accompanied by Wynne Evans, met while they were taking part in last year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Tasha cut a casual figure in a dark hoodie and matching tracksuit bottoms while Jamie opted for a brown padded jacket and black joggers.

Carlos Gu recently raised eyebrows with a recent comment he made about Tasha and Jamie on his Instagram, as the Strictly Come Dancing tour continues.

Posting a video of Tasha and Jamie dancing arm-in-arm backstage, he wrote: ‘Fresh couple in the making’.

Newly-single Tasha couldn’t wipe the smile off her face in the glitzy silver catsuit as she stared into Jamie’s eyes, who sported a vibrant green suit.

Last week, Tasha admitted Andrew was ‘getting sick of Strictly’ just days before announcing their shock split.

While Andrew grew weary of her commitment to the series while competing alongside Aljaž Škorjanec, 34, Tasha credited the show for transforming her into a ‘fierce woman’. 

Speaking to The Sun shortly before the split she said: ‘I can’t even put into words how incredible the experience was. Like, honestly, every day, I’ve been on YouTube watching all the dances we did’.

‘Andrew’s getting sick of it. He is literally like ‘Tasha!’. I just can’t get over it because the experience was just so surreal and once it ends it just ends.

Tasha, who is currently part of the live show cast, added: ‘I feel like I went into Strictly a girl and came out a fierce woman’.

While news of Tasha and Andrew’s split devastated fans, judging by their social media posts it appeared that they’d been worlds apart before their relationship ended. 

Tasha hadn’t posted a snap with Andrew on her official Instagram account since November, when she shared loved-up images with him while they attended the UK premiere of Wicked together.
