Coronation Street fans will be gutted to know that a fan favourite character will be leaving the soap on Monday night’s episode.
It will see Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) turn her back on the cobbles as she heads to London for a new job, with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) waving her off.
Monday’s installment of the ITV soap, which will air at 8:00pm, has already landed on ITVX for viewers to enjoy.
The episode was released at 7:00am online and those who have watched it will know that Bethany leaves the Cobbles.

She adds: ‘I’m going to miss you guys.’
Sarah tells her: ‘I’m so proud of you, everything you’ve been through.’
It’s been a pretty tough year for Bethany.
The aspiring writer travelled to Turkey to get a cosmetic procedure done, but unfortunately things went wrong and she was left with a stoma bag.
Not only that, Bethany and boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) have hit a bit of a rough patch in their relationship.
Despite getting engaged over the Christmas period, Bethany decides that heading to London is what is best for her.
As viewers will you know, actress Lucy was pregnant with her second child when those scenes were filmed.
The actress, 29, is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her second child – and has confirmed that she will be back soon (pictured in September)

She revealed that she was expecting in August last year.
The soap star welcomed her daughter into the world on the January 11 2025.
Sharing a sweet snap of her newborn, she wrote: ‘our teeny angel girl is here 11/1/25 x.’
The actress is also a proud mum to a two-year-old boy.
Lucy gave birth to her son Sonny Jude on January 30 2023.
The couple have been together since 2020.
Corrie fans will be happy to know that Lucy will be back on the Cobbles in the future.
Speaking on a Instagram Q&A, Lucy said: ‘Lots of Corrie related q’s – I won’t be away for toooo long and I am returning after I pop the baby out.’
Lucy took on the role of Bethany in 2015. She starred on the show until 2020 and then rejoined the cast in 2023.
Although the TV star is best known for her role in Corrie, she’s also starred in All Star Musicals, Don’t Rock the Boat, Tom Jones and Drama Queens.
Over the years she’s won Best Actress in the Inside Soap Awards, the National Television Awards for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance and Best Actress and Best Female Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards.
Coronation Street airs on Monday at 8pm on ITV.
