Reese Witherspoon discovered an unexpected perk to casting retired NFL star Peyton Manning as himself in her latest film You’re Cordially Invited – free ‘quarterback lessons!’

In honor of Super Bowl Sunday, the Oscar winner and the two-time Super Bowl champion – both 48 – posted a video of him instructing her on how to properly throw a football.

‘It’s all about the grip first,’ Peyton explained.

‘You want to put your [fingers] on the second lace and the fifth lace. You see that?’

Manning went on to demonstrate how ‘to wipe the windshield’ and ‘elbow the short person’ and ‘flick the booger off your finger’ with all his industry jargon.

‘Where are we throwing it?’ Reese (born Laura Jeanne) asked before admitting she was ‘scared’ to throw the ball to the five-time NFL MVP inside a conference room lined with glᴀss windows.

Reese and Manning filmed their behind-the-scenes clip while on the Georgia set of Nicholas Stoller’s wacky bridal war comedy, which was sH๏τ way back in May 2023.

You’re Cordially Invited centers on Black Sheep Productions producer Margot (Witherspoon) and baker Jim (Will Ferrell) who fight each other over a shared wedding venue and date for her sister and his daughter.
