Hollywood truly brought its fashion A-game to the 77th Annual DGA Awards on Saturday, turning The Beverly Hilton’s red carpet into a stunning showcase of style and glamour.
Demi Moore, Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, and Mikey Madison stole the spotlight with their striking ensembles, each commanding attention in their own unique way.
Fresh off her Critics Choice win for The Substance, Moore, 62, dazzled in a silver sheer gown adorned with an intricate peacock motif, exuding elegance and sophistication.
Zoe looked stunning in her chic mini dress, serving up perfection with a splash of polka dots.
Fanning, ever the fashion maven, turned heads in a sleek black tuxedo suit, which she paired with a vintage yellow shirt and matching scarf.
Meanwhile, newcomer Madison, nominated for an Oscar for her role in Anora, opted for a timeless look, donning a crisp white shirt paired with a flowing black skirt, proving that sometimes, less is more.

As perennial host Judd Apatow presided over the in-person, non-televised ceremony, the trio of actresses was joined by a star-studded cavalcade of talent, including Adrien Brody, Bill Hader, and Ali Wong.
This year, four of the DGA’s nominees for Best Director in feature films also earned coveted Oscar nominations: Brady Corbet for The Brutalist, Sean Baker for Anora, Jacques Audiard for Emilia Pérez, and James Mangold for A Complete Unknown.
The sole DGA Award feature nominee not receiving an Oscar nod was Edward Berger for Conclave.
The Best Feature Film Director category has long been a reliable indicator of who will take home the Oscar for Best Director, with 19 of the past 22 DGA winners ultimately securing the Academy Award.

This year’s race for Best First-Time Feature Director featured a diverse group of nominees.

On the TV side, the drama series category was led by three episodes of Shōgun, along with entries from The Diplomat and True Detective: Night Country.
In comedy, The Bear led with three episodes, while Hacks and Curb Your Enthusiasm each contributed one.
The limited series and TV movie race featured directors from three episodes of The Penguin, competing against the full series runs of Ripley and Disclaimer.

Notable exclusions this awards season include Jon M. Chu, who directed the blockbuster Wicked, and Denis Villeneuve, the visionary behind Dune: Part Two.
Both were overlooked despite their films’ mᴀssive success.
Also absent were any female directors from some of this year’s most celebrated films, such as Coralie Fargeat, nominated for a Golden Globe for The Substance, and Payal Kapadia, who directed All We Imagine as Light.
While Kapadia did earn recognition in the first-time director category, many were surprised that her directorial work didn’t land a nomination in the main race.
Meanwhile, Demi’s jaw-dropping appearance comes just hours after she took home the big prize at the Critics Choice.
‘This has been such a wild ride,’ she gushed as she took to the stage.
She praised critics for giving her the award, which she said was a ‘healing balm to the very issue the film brings forward.’
Demi stars in The Substance as a former Oscar winner who, now hosting a popular aerobics TV show, finds herself abruptly dismissed by a chauvinistic network executive (Dennis Quaid) once she hits 50.

She discovers the mysterious ‘Substance,’ which lets her share the body of a younger woman (played by Margaret Qualley) in a bid to reclaim her fame.
But as they fight for control over who gets to be in the spotlight, the substance starts having some nasty side effects on both of them, causing some pretty uncomfortable and wild physical changes.
As for Madison, she stars in Anora as an adult dancer who impetuously marries the son of a Russian oligarch, only to have his handlers go to shocking ends to annul the marriage.
Madison and writer, director and editor Sean Baker lost out on earlier awards At Critics Choice before their film was ultimately triumphant with the BEst Picture.
It beat out frontrunner Wicked, alongside A Complete Unknown, Sing Sing, Emilia Perez, Conclave, Dune Part Two, The Brutalist, Nickel Boys and The Substance.
