The PGA Awards capped off a week of celebratory events across the country, honoring the year’s best in film and TV production.
FX’s Shōgun, HBO Max’s Hacks, and Netflix’s Baby Reindeer all continued their awards-season dominance, each winning in their respective categories of Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Drama, Comedy, and Limited or Anthology Series Television.
These shows had already swept similar categories at the Emmys, Golden Globes, and Critics Choice Awards earlier in the season.
In the Live Entertainment, Variety, Sketch, Standup & Talk Television category, Saturday Night Live took home the award, just a week before it celebrates its 50th season on TV.
Other notable winners included Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, which earned Outstanding Documentary, and DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot, which won in the Animated Motion Picture category.
The PGA Awards also celebrated several trailblazing figures in the industry, recognizing their contributions with prestigious honors.
Dana Walden received the Milestone Award, while Taika Waiтιтi was presented with the Norman Lear Achievement Award.
The Trailblazer Award was posthumously awarded to Lynda Obst and Paula Weinstein, and Chris Meledandri of Illumination was honored with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award.

Recalling the making of Monster-in-Law, Fonda explained how Weinstein saved the project after a disappointing test screening.
‘Paula totally saved it by getting Carrie Fisher to rewrite the ending and hiring Elaine Stritch to play my mother,’ Fonda said. ‘Paula knew funny.’
