Dakota Fanning and Andrew Scott can’t hold back their laughter as they enjoy a very jovial night out after the 2025 Critics Choice Awards – as they brush off losses

She may not have won the Critics Choice Award on Friday night, but Dakota Fanning looked happier than ever as she headed out for the night after the glitzy do.

The actress, 30, was all smiles and shared a giggle with Andrew Scott as the pair made their way to celebrity H๏τspot Chateau Marmont.

The Ripley co-stars couldn’t hold back their laughter as they were seen cracking up as they partied the night away together and held тιԍнтly onto each other’s hands.

Dakota looked glamorous as ever in a salmon pink satin dress after stunning on the red carpet on a mint green gown.

She swept a dark blazer over her shoulders to keep warm, which she styled with strappy heels and a small black bag.

The Perfect Couple actress left her blonde locks to flow freely over her shoulders and kept her make-up to a minimum.

Meanwhile, Irish actor Andrew cut a dapper figure in the same ensemble he had earlier stormed the red carpet in.

He looked suave in white trousers and a blush pink shirt, which he styled with a matching satin blazer and slip-on suit shoes.

Earlier in the night, Dakota had turned heads in a mint-coloured mermaid-style gown at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

She was a vision as she walked the red carpet solo, accenting her ensemble with a chunky diamond necklace with a large pendant.

Dakota drew attention to her piercing blue eyes with the addition of sleek, dark eyeliner and mauve-coloured shadow.

Dakota was nominated for a Critics Choice Award in the Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television category for her turn in Ripley.

However, she ultimately missed out on the gong as Jessica Gunning was awarded the prize for her work as Martha in Netflix’s stalker drama Baby Reindeer.

Her co-star Andrew was also nominated for Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television, but it lost out to The Penguin’s Colin Farrell.

Based on The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith, a crime classic that inspired an entire genre of psychological thrillers, Ripley was filmed in black and white as a highly stylised noir pastiche.

Irish actor Andrew Scott stepped into the polished brogues previously worn by Matt Damon in the eight-episode series, originally dramatised for the cinema by director Anthony Minghella in 1999.

Speaking with E! News on the red carpet, Dakota reminisced on last month’s Golden Globes, during which she sat with Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

‘We had so much fun. It was such a beautiful night,’ she gushed to the outlet.

She added about attending with her younger sibling Elle and their grandmother: ‘Being there with my sister was so wonderful. Our grandmother was my date.

‘And it was just so fun to celebrate [my movie] Ripley and A Complete Unknown for my sister, and most importantly, our sisterhood.’

Other A-listers who were present at the Critics Choice Awards included Angelina Jolie, Zoe Saldaña, and Demi Moore.

The Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, took place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Friday, February 7, after being delayed twice due to the LA fires.

The Oscar hopes of Ralph Fiennes and Conclave were kept alive, as the film won the acting ensemble award — with Fiennes accepting — and the Best Adapted Screenplay prize

The show was first slated to happen on Sunday, January 12, before being pushed to Sunday, January 26.

But due to the venue’s close proximity to the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades, ceremony officials decided to move the show to February.

Anora was the winner of Best Picture, despite failing to win any of the other six awards it was nominated for, while Demi Moore and Adrien Brody emerged triumphant in the lead acting categories at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Friday.

The Sean Baker–directed verité-style comedy stars Mikey Madison as an adult dancer who impetuously marries the son of a Russian oligarch, only to have his handlers go to shocking ends to annul the marriage.

In his emotional acceptance speech, Baker noted that the film only cost $6million — a shockingly small amount for a major film.

Meanwhile, Demi, 62, brought down the house when her name was announced for Best Actress.

She stars in the satirical body-horror film The Substance, which is about an aging actress who resorts to an untested therapy to allow her to temporarily inhabit the body of a younger woman (Margaret Qualley).

But both are affected by stomach-churning physical side effects when they overstay their welcomes in the younger body.

Adrien praised critics for making his ‘very small, epic film very visible and accessible to people’ after winning Best Actor for The Brutalist, which cemented his status as the Oscar frontrunner in the category.

In the Brady Corbet–directed historical epic, he plays a Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor who ʙuттs heads with a wealthy benefactor (Guy Pearce) after emigrating to the US.
