‘We will always be a family, just in a different form,’ Moore told Variety.

‘For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love,’ the About Last Night star added.

Willis also shares daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with wife Emma Heming, 46.

Demi visits Bruce weekly and tries to be supportive for her daughters, Emma and the daughters Emma and Bruce share.

‘I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things,’ Moore said of the friendship and Willis still have after their divorce. ‘

There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love,’ Demi explained.

The G.I. Jane actress made a similar statement to CNN in December.

‘That has been very important to me even from when Bruce and I separated and divorced, is the recognition that we’re a family, and we’ll always be a family just in a different form.

‘And that form may kind of evolve and change, and there is a way in which we can all be in that form,’ she told Christiane Amanpour.

During her CNN interview, she also gave an update on the Sixth Sense actor’s health.

‘Given the givens, he’s in a very stable place at the moment,’ Moore said.

‘And I’ve shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely: It’s so important for anybody who’s dealing with this to really meet them where they’re at.

‘And from that place, there is such loving and joy,’ she added.

Willis’ family first revealed his FTD diagnosis in February 2023, following his retirement from acting due to aphasia, a brain disorder that affects speech and language comprehension.

Since then, the Hollywood icon has been showered with love and unwavering support from his family.

Last month, Emma opened up about their journey, emphasizing that she doesn’t ‘shield’ their young daughters from the reality of Bruce’s condition.

During an interview with Town & Country Magazine, Heming explained, ‘This disease is misdiagnosed, it’s missed, it’s misunderstood.

‘So finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and I could educate our children,’ she admitted.

Emma added, ‘I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from it.’

Demi is basking in the glow of her first Oscar nomination. She is nominated for Best Actress for her role in The Substance.

The role required Demi to dig deep, deeper than she ever had before.

‘I realized I didn’t have the benefit of feeding off other actors in many of these scenes,’ she explained.

And at 62, she doesn’t take it for granted, knowing the penchant the film industry has for casting aside older women.

‘We’ve all heard the narrative — women of a certain age in Hollywood are discarded, overlooked,’ she said.

‘But look at what’s happening now. There’s interest in our stories. There’s room for us. And that’s exciting.’

Before The Substance came along, Demi thought her career had ended.

‘I had hit a low point where I didn’t feel like I was expanding like I wasn’t being challenged,’ she admitted.

‘And I thought, maybe the universe is telling me I need to do something else.

‘But then The Substance came along, and I thought, “Okay, this I can dive into. This is something I can bring all of myself to.”‘

If Demi wins the Best Actress Oscar she will ‘become only the third-best actress winner to be helmed by a woman who is nominated for best director.’

She would also become the sixth oldest woman to win in the 97 year history of the Academy Awards.
