Daisy May Cooper’s This Country is set to be ‘revived’ but not in the way fans may expect.
The three-series BBC sitcom last aired in 2020 and followed cousins Kerry and Kurtan played by Charlie and Daisy May Cooper, 38, during their day-to-day life in Cirencester, Cotswolds, in a mockumentary style.
Charlie and Daisy May’s friend and co-star, Michael Sleggs, who played Michael ‘Slugs’ Slugette, sadly pᴀssed away aged 33 just three weeks before filming in 2019.
The siblings admitted that Michael’s tragic death played a part in deciding to end the show as filming ‘didn’t feel the same’.
But comedy star Daisy has revealed there will be a surprising twist to her hit show Am I Being Unreasonable?.
The two beloved This Country characters, Kerry and Kurtan, are set to make a ‘crossover’ appearance in the new second series of Am I Being Unreasonable?.

Am I Being Unreasonable? originated from a phone call between Daisy and her co-star Selin Hizli, left, during the pandemic and first aired in 2022
Speaking on Tuesday to This Morning presenter Cat Deeley, Daisy said: ‘What I can tell you, you’re going to love and This Country fans are going to love this.
‘Kerry and Kurtan are coming into Am I Being Unreasonable? Season 2.
‘So it’s going to be a comedy crossover. So This Country fans you’ll be happy.’
She added: ‘Charlie is in it, as well as playing Kurtan, he also plays a Dutch man with a mullet and shell suit, but he was so bad at a Dutch accent that we had to write in in episode four that he’s not really Dutch.’
Am I Being Unreasonable? originated from a phone call between Daisy and her co-star Selin Hizli during the pandemic and first aired in 2022.
The news of the two iconic comedies crossing over for the second series comes after it was revealed production was halted when Daisy prematurely gave birth to her third child, OK! reported.
The comedy thriller’s storyline explores female friendships and ‘maternal paranoia’ and stars best friends and co-writers Selin Hizli and Daisy as Jen and Nic.
Daisy was pregnant when filming began and described the early arrival of her son in 2024 as ‘really stressful’.

She told OK!: ‘I was pregnant when we started filming and then my son was born seven weeks early, so we had to stop filming right in the middle.’
Daisy added: ‘I have a brilliant son, but it was really stressful.’
The mother-of-three returned to filming with an entirely new appearance and said: ‘It was a bit mad, because since we filmed the last series and this series, I’ve had my lips done. I’ve lost about ten stone.’
Daisy previously said: ‘For me I always wanted to write something with Selin because I think she’s the most talented person I’ve ever met, I mean second to me, I am mᴀssively talented (laughs) but there’s nobody else who makes me laugh like her.’
Selin added: ‘I knew you were just at home doing nothing because so was the rest of the world. So I knew you couldn’t come up with a good excuse so I could just force you to be my friend.’
Daisy responded: ‘And then you phoned me, I answered and we had a conversation about wouldn’t it be great to do a show that was based on female friendships, toxic friendships and how many toxic friendships I’ve had in my life and that’s how it came about.’
Am I Being Unreasonable? airs on BBC and streams on BBC iPlayer.
