Big Brother star Sarah Griffiths has revealed she’s engaged to her long-term boyfriend, a day after telling her followers that she was sure he was about to propose.

The account manager, 27, took to social media to share her boyfriend Aled Morris popped the question during a romantic countryside walk as they celebrated three years together.

Just a day earlier, Sarah had shared a TikTok telling her followers that she was convinced Aled would be proposing later that day, after he planned a cosy dog walk together as part of their anniversary celebrations. 

Sarah was evicted from the Big Brother house just four days before the final, after she and Thomas Atkinson received the fewest public votes.

Announcing her engagement on Instagram, Sarah shared two snaps showing off her stunning engagement ring as she and Aled enjoyed a bottle of champagne to celebrate their future together.

She had taken to TikTok on Sunday to confess that she was convinced Aled was set to pop the question.

‘I think I might be getting engaged today, no joke,’ she said. ‘It’s our three-year anniversary and Aled has booked loads of stuff, and he never does this.

‘The first thing we’re doing is going for a walk, and that might be thr ideal time, so hence I’m getting ready for a dog walk.

‘I got stick on nails and put them on last night, just in case for pH๏τos.

‘Dog-walking glam in case it happens, fingers crossed!’

The next day, Sarah then confirmed that Aled had indeed proposed, posting a sweet TikTok showing the moment he got down on one knee as they walked the dogs.

Showing off her stunning diamond ring, Sarah then showed herself telling her loved ones the happy news, and paying a visit to the house that they were in the process of building, gushing that it would be their ‘marital home.’

The announcement sparked a sea of comments from her former housemates offering their congratulations. 

Ali Bromley, who went onto win Big Brother in November, wrote: ‘Congrats Sarah,’ while Lily Benson gushed: ‘BLOODY NORA CONGRATS.’

Rosie Williams, who has been dating housemate Nathan King after they met on the show, wrote: ‘BEST. NEWS. EVER!! So happy for you gorgeous.’ 

Emma Morgan wrote: ‘Well, well well this is WONDERFUL news!! I can’t believe Aled is going to make an honest woman of you!! No, I actually can’t. I love you dearly and I’m beyond happy to see you so in love and excited for the future. Here we go nowwwww.’

Hanah Haji commented: ‘AHHHH CONGRATS BABES,’ while Dean Quinton added; ‘Condragulations you’re a winner baby.’

Martha Jones shared the excited comment: ‘WOOOHOOOOO SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!’ while Segun Shodipo wrote: ‘LET’S GOOOOO.’

Last year’s Big Brother finished in November, with Ali crowned series champion, while Marcello Dentamaro finished as runner-up, with Emma in third place, Hanah in fourth, Nathan in fifth and Segun in sixth.

During her time in the Big Brother house, Sarah was issued with a formal warning after she sparked fury with a ‘racial joke.’

She was called into The Diary Room after she appeared to put playful turn on the slogan Stop The Boats, leading to some furious fans to claim she should be removed from the house.

Sarah first made the comments in a previous shopping task, when she called housemate Hanah ‘gloaty.’

During a task, she also chanted the phrase ‘Stop the gloats!’, a spin on former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s campaign to ‘swiftly remove’ anyone who entered the country illegally on small boats.

The comments came to light as a result of a shopping task, and later in the evening, Hanah, Khaled and Segun expressed their concerns about racial sensitivity surrounding them, meaning Sarah was called into the Diary Room, and spoken to about her language.

Sarah, who once admitted to voting UKIP, replied: ‘For me, it was just funny because it rhymed, and I don’t really talk about politics that often because it’s not something I’m interested in, but it was a joke.

‘It had no racial connotations, I have no connotations about boats or immigration, or anything like that. It was just making funny of political slogans.’
