Hollywood actor Patrick Schwarzenegger is engaged to his longtime love Abby Champion.

And this week the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver revealed what makes them work after being together for 10 years.

The actor, who will next be on the hit series White Lotus, shared his thoughts with InStyle.

The former fashion model also said they are not in a rush to set a wedding date after getting engaged in December 2023.

‘We’ve been together 10 years, so it’s like we’re basically married,’ he laughed. 

‘But we’re better as humans together than we would be apart. We bring out the best in each other.’

The brother of Katherine Schwarzenegger, who is married to Chris Pratt, added: ‘I feel that I’m the best version of myself with her and I think she does as well.’

‘We’ve been together 10 years, so it’s like we’re basically married,’ he laughed. ‘But we’re better as humans together than we would be apart. We bring out the best in each other’

‘Every morning I go on a walk with my fiancée to the beach…It’s just us. No work, no noise,’ he shared.

‘We go down there and just think about what we’re thankful for. That’s a constant in my life. I think it’s great to have a moment in your day where you can take stock.’

They documented their engagement over a year ago.

Patrick shared a post with his 1.3million followers with the caption: [diamond ring and red heart emojis] FOREVER AND EVER [red heart and diamond ring emojis].’

The comment section was flooded with sweet messages from their followers and celebrity pals, Dylan Sprouse, Meadow Walker and Amelia Hamlin. 

His mother Maria wrote: ‘Yippee bravo we are all so happy for you for your love for your now for your future your love is inspiring joy joy joy.’ 

On Christmas Day, the happy couple were seen making FaceTime calls to their family and friends while rocking matching pajamas on a stroll in Los Angeles.

Patrick gave his lady love a two-diamond engagement ring

Champion looked overcome with emotion on the phone as she flashed her sparkly diamond ring toward the camera. 

The Moxie leading man has been dating the Meet Me At The Jane star since 2015. 

Having previously been linked to other A-list beauties like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, Patrick and Abby have been going strong ever since they were publicly spotted enjoying a date night in West Hollywood at Nice Guy. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son gushed to E! News about the qualities that attracted him to Abby in the first place, explaining, ‘She’s a hard worker, dedicated, determined.’

The Daniel Isn’t Real star added that he admired that Abby moved from Alabama to pursue her modeling dream.

He added that, ‘We love each other and it’s okay when she goes away for a week or I go away for a month filming.’ 

According to the Terminal List star, the pair moved in together at the end of last year. 

The blonde-haired beauty has achieved her goal of becoming a famous model, even appearing in the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 2.

While the couple typically keep details about their relationship private, Abby proudly shares snaps of herself with Patrick on Instagram for her followers. 

Although the couple have never starred in a film together, they did pose on the same cover of Vogue Spain back in 2018. 

In a sweet birthday post dedicated to the model on her 25th birthday, Patrick wrote, ‘Love this girl so much!! Such a hard worker.’ 

Schwarzenegger and Champion were first romantically linked in September 2015, before making their relationship Instagram official in February 2016

He added that he adored how ‘beautiful’ and ‘faithful’ his long-term love was. 

‘Drinks 2 cups of coffee! Loves ice cream. Loves her sugary cocktails,’ the MOSH co-founder joked. 

In 2015, he split from Cyrus after five months of dating due to their demanding schedules. 

‘They’re just in two different places in their lives – he’s in college and she’s focused on her music and career,’ a source told People, at the time. 

Patrick graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business and a minor in cinematic arts in May 2016. 

Two years prior, he sparked dating rumors with Swift, after the pop star spent July 4th with him at the legendary Kennedy family property in Hyannisport.

Despite romantic speculation between the pair, Swift actually had a summer fling with Schwarzenegger’s cousin Conor Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy, not him.
