Davina McCall looked worlds away from her usual self as she debuted a new hairdo on The Masked Singer.

The TV star, 57, took her seat on the judging panel of the ITV show in the new episode aired on Saturday, and swapped her signature dark locks for a blonde bob.

Just as the episode went out, her hairdresser partner Michael Douglas Instagram to reveal that it was a wig.

He wrote: ‘The wig was lent to us by and I’ve been so grateful for their help with the hair this season of The Masked Singer.

‘I love using the wigs they keep things really simple and really quick and looks absolutely stunning in it. I had to style it a little bit using the @mdlondon STRAIT’

Fans were quick to praise Davina for the bold new look, with one leaving her a touching message about how her wig will serve as a ‘confidence boost’ to others.

‘So many of my clients I look after at Maggie’s centre whilst they are going through chemo and hair loss are scared of wearing wigs initially. 

‘Seeing celebs change up their appearance like this will give so many people more confidence. 

‘Great work as always’.

Another fan didn’t seem to realise that it was a wig, and begged the former Big Brother host to change it back.

They said:  ‘No Davina what have you done  to your hair, bring it back bring it back bring it back.’

‘Hope you are good love from Scotland.’

When one fan reached out to the My Mum Your Dad host to compliment her, she replied directly to them.

The fan wrote: ‘ Yu look lovely with the blonde @ThisIsDavina’

She replied: ‘Yeah loved that wig! @mdlondon smashed it!’ 

Davina has previously worn wigs on The Masked Singer,  and revealed just before the new series went to air that she had tried a whole host of them on behind the scenes.
