Katy Perry doesn’t listen to her critics.
When asked how she handles negative reviews, the 40-year-old pop star, who is one of the best-selling music artists in history, explained that she doesn’t pay any attention to hateful comments about her.
‘You shouldn’t read it when it’s good. You shouldn’t read it when it’s bad,’ she told People of her mindset, four months after releasing her seventh studio album, 143.
The Dark Horse hitmaker explained that she tries to avoid listening to unsolicited feedback, in general, after her therapist told her ‘something that really changed’ her life.
She explained during a session, her therapist told her: ‘What anybody thinks about you is none of your business. It’s what you think about yourself.’
Although her latest record hasn’t achieved the same commercial success as some of Katy’s earlier releases, the Woman’s World singer ‘still feels proud of the record, and hopes it can become ‘the soundtrack for anyone’s life.’

‘I created this album out of a real shift in my life when I became a mother, and I really tapped into that feminine divine energy. The messages on it are celebratory. They’re about love,’ Perry said.
She continued: ‘I have an incredible idenтιтy that I’ve been able to create since COVID, when a lot changed for so much. So the album really just celebrates love and this unconditional love that I have been looking for my whole life and never really knew it existed. That was a cliché, and it’s actually true.’

Katy recently admitted that motherhood has changed her entire outlook on life.
The pop star – who has Daisy, four, with fiance Orlando Bloom – sees everything with a renewed sense of ‘light and joy and hope’ now that she’s a mother.
Katy – who began dating Orlando back in 2016 – told E! News: ‘It’s like Christmas again when you get to see it through a child’s eyes. There’s so much light and joy and hope.’
In November, Perry announced she would be embarking on tour with her little girl.
Katy teased that her Lifetimes Tour will be visiting arenas across the UK in 2025 and she gushed that she loves how ‘inclusive’ London is.
The I Kissed A Girl crooner will kick off her tour in Mexico next April before taking it to Australia and will be performing across the UK next October.

Katy will take to the stage in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham starting on October 7th next year.
‘I’m really excited Daisy can join me on this world tour. She is four now and then she’ll turn five on the road. Time really does fly,’ she told The Sun.
The star marveled: ‘Some of my single friends that don’t have children, whenever they come and visit, and they only see her every six months or what have you, they’re like, “Whoa, she’s grown.” It’s like, time is happening, it’s ticking.’
‘I’m so excited to introduce her to a lot of places in the world and we’ll be having a fun adventure together,’ Perry continued.
The performer went on to say she looked toward to taking Daisy to ‘fun playgrounds and outdoor adventures’ on her days off.
‘In the UK we love the parks. We already spend quite a lot of time during the summer in London so we love it so much,’ she said. ‘We have such a good feeling when we’re there. It’s so inclusive and it’s so built for families.’
