The Traitors’ Alexander Dragonetti reacted to fans branding him ‘rom-com energy’ in a hilarious Q&A on Thursday.
The former diplomat, 38, sent fans into overdrive when he joined Cosmopolitan UK to chat about his Traitors journey but also answered to the public’s thirst-trap.
The former British diplomat discussed why he applied to the show, his unseen friendships in the castle and what he really thinks of everyone thirsting over him, before jumping into some funny tweets.
Replying to a fan’s post on X which dubbed him ‘rom-com energy’, he said: ‘I don’t really feel like it’s my decision whether I have rom-com energy, I suppose, I’ll leave that for others to judge.’
Alexander – who quickly stole the nation’s hearts after appearing on the third instalment of the hit show – continued reading the flattering messages, with one saying they ‘were only tuning in to see him’.
The hilarious bit was followed by a straight-forward question: ‘How does it feel to have everyone thirsting over you?’

To that, the hunk replied: ‘Surprising. Thank you for the support. It has been absolutely brilliant.
‘It has just made this whole thing so much more fun, and so much more enjoyable. I am enormously grateful for all the support.’
The reality star said he is currently single – but added: ‘No further comment.’
While some viewers have been glued to the ups and downs of the Faithfuls and Traitors, others were far more interested in the dishy British diplomat, with the 38-year-old steadily earning himself a heartthrob status.
After being quizzed by MailOnline last week on whether he is still single, Alexander laughed: ‘I am still single… I will probably leave it there.’
Addressing the interest he’s received from fans, he joked: ‘Yes, thanks Claudia for announcing that I am a singleton on national TV. I mean, I’m so grateful for all the support. It’s been absolutely fantastic.
‘I’ve been so lucky. I’m getting used to social media. I put up a small video last night, but I really mean it.
‘This process has been so much more fun and so much easier because of all that support out there, so I’m super grateful to all those supporting me.’

Fellow Faithful Francesca Rowan-Plowden, who goes by Frankie in the show, chimed in with her own take on Alexander’s newfound heartthrob status.
She joked: ‘Well, my personal Whatsapp is very busy with questions about him. All my divorced and single friends asking when can I meet Alexander? They keep saying “oh Alexander is lovely” and I’m like, I know I know.’
When asked if he was on Tinder or Hinge, the diplomat cheekily responded: ‘No comment’.
It comes after host Claudia Winkleman revealed that she been inundated with messages about Alexander from her friends.
Indeed, so popular was Alexander, that host Claudia even declared he was single during a recent episode of the BBC show.
However, during Friday’s spin-off show The Traitors: Uncloaked, Claudia told how she’d been swamped requests about the hunk’s, noting that many of her pals have urged her to ‘define how single’ he was.
Claudia then went on to apologise to Alexander for publicly confirming his relationship status amid the huge attention he’s received while on the show.
She said: ‘I’m so sorry that I reported to the group that you were single.
