Watch Coronation Street BURN in heart-stopping first look at Weatherfield inferno that leaves one resident’s life hanging by a thread

The upcoming episodes of Coronation Street are set to be packed with peril and sneak peaks of the upcoming Weatherfield inferno have shown the true scale of the horror.

It was recently revealed that a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly blaze would rip through the Platts’ house – ruining the property and the lives of David and Shona’s family.

Footage of the scenes shows how the terror unfolds and in one clip, set to air on Monday, February 3, sees everyone gather outside as smoke fills the Platts’ home.

Tim and Sally Metcalfe, played by Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor, discuss whether they should retrieve possessions from their own nearby house.

Sally says: ‘Maybe we should get our valuables out Tim becuase it could spread to ours?’

To which Tim responds: ‘I’m not going looting for a few chipped plates and pot rabbit!’

The scene soon moves to the frantic neighbours trying to locate people.

Nick tries to call Sam but fails to get an answer and the attention turns to Lily, who Max and Shona are worried may have been in the house.

Another dramatic clip, also set to air on Monday, shows Toyah tidying the Platts’ house.

Abi enters Toyah’s surprise and says: ‘I  punched a guy. He had something I wanted, it was a drug thing and I was an addict.’

Toyah tells her: ‘Abi we can’t be here,’ as Abi menacingly continues her tale.

Abi then goes on to confront Toyah for calling social services, before lighting a match in her face.

However, when Carla reveals the testing will be done at the prison he appears to be put off.

Rob says, ‘I just thought they’d want to do it in a hospital that’s all’ and was ‘looking forward to a day out’.

His reaction appears to shake Carla, who looks concerned and guarded.

It comes after it was revealed the fire is proven to be arson and some of the street’s best known residents start to feel the heat and find themselves forced to try and convince the police of their innocence.

Viewers will see a mysterious hooded figure we see pushing a petrol-soaked rag through the letterbox of Number Eight, starting the ᴅᴇᴀᴅly blaze.

Next week, Coronation Street will air on ITV for one hour from 8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
