Katy Perry drew a crowd in an already bustling downtown Manhattan on Tuesday as she prepared for an early appearance on Good Morning America.
The singer posed for pH๏τos outside ABC Studios in New York City as she continued her promotional campaign for the latest series of long-running talent show American Idol.
Wearing a lemon yellow crop-top over a pair of high-slung tan leather trousers, Katy, 37, showed off the tummy that has been the source of continued pregnancy rumours over recent weeks.
She added to her look with a sweeping tan leather coat, while cowboy boots, Oliver Peoples x Fai Khadra shades, and a smart black handbag rounded things off.
Katy was without fiancé Orlando Bloom, with whom she raises 18-month old daughter Daisy, as she greeted onlookers before making her way inside.
The singer originally joined the American Idol judges panel in 2017 and has since become a welcome fixture on the show as it prepares to return with a 20th season on February 27.
Katy gave birth to Daisy Dove on August 26, 2020 and admitted becoming a mother taught her the importance of unconditional love.
She explained: ‘As a performer, I’ve always relied on the love and acceptance and validation of the outside world and that ultimately can waver at times.
‘When you have a child, you have someone who looks at you and doesn’t know anything on your resume, doesn’t know anything about your bank account, doesn’t know anything, doesn’t care, and just loves you.’
Katy and Orlando recently celebrated their third anniversary of his over-the-top proposal where he popped the big question during a helicopter ride that she later called a very James Bond move.
She told Jimmy Kimmel: ‘The funny part is we had champagne in the helicopter and the box was in his pocket and he had written down everything he wanted to say on a note.
‘So I’m reading but I’m hearing the champagne is broken and the bottle’s everywhere … he’s pulling out this box that’s too big for his coat pocket, rips his coat pocket and his elbow goes into the champagne.’
She added: ‘We landed on a rooftop (in Los Angeles) — my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well.’
