Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella was officially declared cancer-free last July, but her nine-month battle against medulloblastoma is depicted in a new primetime special Life Interrupted, which airs next Wednesday on ABC and the following day on Disney+/Hulu.
‘You don’t really think the worst until you get told the worst,’ the brave 20-year-old said in the preview released Wednesday, breaking down in tears.
‘I’m not going to cry.’
Isabella – who had a golf-ball-sized brain tumor – underwent three brain surgeries, six weeks of radiation, and four rounds of chemotherapy since she was diagnosed in October 2023.
‘The first thing that went through my mind was, “This must be a mistake.” It didn’t seem real,’ the 53-year-old GMA anchor said.
‘As a parent, you’re just scared. She told me at one point, “I’ll do whatever I gotta do because I don’t want to die.” And I was like, wow.’
