Kim Kardashian revealed she severed one of her fingertips in a shock injury she described as ‘more painful than childbirth.’
The 43-year-old left her fans baffled and concerned when she surfaced in February and March with bandages on two of her fingers.
At the time, she refrained from explaining how exactly she hurt herself – but now it appears the answer is about to finally go public.
She showed off a grisly stump where the end of one of her fingers used to be, on a new sneak peek for next week’s The Kardashians, via People.
The jaw-dropping moment came when Kim visited a doctor to check on the state of her recovery from her mysterious incident.

She removed her splint and bared her stump, prompting the doctor to remark: ‘Oh, it looks great,’ and Kim to incredulously reply: ‘You think that looks great?’
Kim then underwent an X-ray examination and shared in a confession: ‘The, like, tip broke off. It was like, more painful than childbirth.’
She has four children with her third and latest ex-husband Kanye West – North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five.
Kim carried and gave birth to the elder two children herself, and then welcomed her younger two children via surrogacy.
Although the sneak peek did not let slip how exactly she sustained her injury, the true story will likely be revealed on next week’s full episode of the series.
One day before Valentine’s Day, Kim posted an Instagram glamour album in which two of her fingers noticeably had splints on them.
Her digits were still bandaged up at the beginning of March when she was spotted sauntering over to the Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week.
As fans began to wonder how precisely she had hurt herself, Kim posted an Instagram reel and made light of her splints.
She joked that her bandages were ‘very stylish,’ vamping that she had been ‘loving this look lately’ and had ‘sacrificed my fingers for beauty.’
By March 10, she hit the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and her previously wrapped-up fingers were noticeably bare.
The new sneak peek for The Kardashians came as Kim featured in a sizzling new Instagram album in which she showed off her sculpted physique in Gucci.
She uploaded a string of pictures Thursday morning of the flesh-flashing black outfit she had worn for an evening out, presumably the day before.
Kim served up a generous helping of cleavage by going topless over her black bra, in a look that also allowed her to flaunt her impressively taut midriff.
Letting her ash blonde hairdo cascade over her shoulders, she wrapped herself in a long black coat that brought back memories of The Matrix.
The smoldering sensation brought the look together with a pair of black knee-length pencil skirt and a matching pair of leather boots.
Going for an uncharacteristically naturalistic look where makeup was concerned, Kim balanced expertly on her towering heels while pounding the pavement.
