EastEnders star Micah Balfour has revealed he’s become a father for the first time.

The actor, 46, who plays Junior Knight in the BBC soap, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a sweet snap of the new arrival after his partner Natalie, 33, gave birth.

The black and white image shows Micah and Natalie’s hands together with their newborn’s, with the tot sweetly gripping onto their mother’s finger. 

Micah captioned his exciting post with a simple heart emoji, but failed to mention the baby’s gender, name or when they arrived. 

The post was met with a plethora of congratulatory messages from Micah’s fans and EastEnders co-stars.

The baby joy comes after Micah confirmed back in August that his partner of five years was expecting their first child.

The soap star took to his Instagram page to share a beautiful array of baby items and a sign that read ‘We’re expecting Baby Balfour February 2025’. 

Micah, who has appeared on the soap since May 2024, and his girlfriend Nat have been dating since 2020 and moved into their first house together in 2023.

With his Instagram pregnancy announcement, Micah wrote: ‘So we have some exciting news……’

Over on her page, Natalie echoed: ‘We’ve been keeping a little secret…our best adventure yet!! Due February 2025 @michab4.’ 

Among those giving their congratulations were Molly Rainford, who plays Junior’s half-sister Anna Knight, and the EastEnders Instagram page itself. Both left a series of emojis. 

Micah’s exciting baby news comes amid much drama for his onscreen alter ego, who’s steamy affair with his father George’s ex wife Cindy Beale has dominated his time. 

The pair’s shocking affair was dramatically exposed on Christmas Day in explosive scenes, which saw Cindy’s fiancé Ian Beale and the rest of the family learn the news.

The truth was revealed after Lauren Branning sent the chef a recording of Cindy confessing to her steamy romance.

Her husband Ian, played by Adam Woodyatt, was left heartbroken when the clip of Cindy admitting what she had done was played out to the patrons of the Queen Vic. 

However in shock scenes, Cindy was later left for ᴅᴇᴀᴅ after a brutal Christmas special saw her attacked with a spade. 

Several characters, including Junior, was in the frame for the attack, and recent scenes suggest he could indeed be guilty.

Wednesday’s episode saw Junior hiding the shovel that was used to hit Cindy in his flat. 

And while Junior’s actions are shady, the real culprit won’t actually be revealed until the BBC soap’s 4th anniversary special next month.
