Earl Cave put on an edgy display as he attended the Saint Laurent menswear show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday. 

The son of Bad Seeds singer Nick showed off his sense of style in an oversized blazer for the event. 

He teamed it with a grey shirt and a pair of loose fitting pinstriped trousers, accessories with a beaded necklace. 

Posing for pH๏τos ahead of the show at La Bourse de Commerce, Earl, 24, later added a pair of aviator sunglᴀsses.

On the runway models were seen wearing wide shoulder blazers with contrasting leather details.  

Nick shares Earl, with his wife Susie, and also has another son, Luke, with his first wife Viviane Carneiro.

Earl’s twin brother Arthur died in 2015, aged 15, after a cliff-jumping accident in Brighton. 

Singer and writer Nick, 67, recently told how he was ‘repelled’ by work after his sudden death and revealed his family are now the driving force behind his creativity.

In a candid and wide-ranging interview, the Australian musician opened up about his battles with grief and heroin addiction on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs.

His eldest son Jethro died aged 31 in Melbourne in 2022. 

Aged just 19, Cave’s father died in a car crash, while he also battled through two decades of drug addiction before finding sobriety at the sixth attempt of going to rehab.

Speaking to host Lauren Laverne about how his atтιтude to work changed, Nick said: ‘It has a lot to do with Arthur and Jethro… I always just thought art was, kind of at the end of the day, everything.

‘I mean, it’s a terrible thing to say, but it was, it was always there. It was always reliable.’

The singer, known for songs including Red Right Hand and Into My Arms, went onto say that he would go into an office each day, lock the door and ‘work away… sort of in awe of my own creative potential’.

He added: ‘And I think after Arthur died, I just shut the office, and I haven’t gone, I just locked it up. I was just repelled by it in some way. It seems so indulgent.

‘I still work very hard but i don’t see that as the be all and end all of everything. I find my responsibility towards my children and my wife and to be a citizen, a husband, these things are the actual animating force behind our creativeness.’

Cave has previously opened up about his grief over losing his sons and in 2018, he set up an online site called The Red Hand Files, which in part is to help others whose lives have been shattered by sadness or loss.

‘What I really want to try and do is let people know in some way that it doesn’t have to be thus, and that there is a world beyond the grief that they feel,’ he said.

In an open letter, Cave previously wrote: ‘Grief and love are forever intertwined. Grief is the terrible reminder of the depths of our love and, like love, grief is non-negotiable.’

Cave set up the Red Hand Files blog in 2018, where he chooses to answer one question a week.

‘I use them [the Red Hand Files] to try and articulate the way I was feeling and the way I felt about Arthur’s death,’ he revealed. ‘There is a kind of river of sadness that runs through the Red Hand Files that is to do with loss and I think it’s really coloured my way of viewing the world.’
